Having a little day light ring happened to help with a lot of things, one of those being that Damon was able to very easily just go out during the day and walk around like some human. It really helped with the idea of the Founder's Council trusting him, and thinking he was just another little good samaritan that knew what was going on out there. If they had any idea about who and what he really was, no doubt they would have tried to kill him. And that wouldn't have been great considering most of them had some vervain bracelet or something, and it'd be a lot of missing people and dead bodies to have to burn or hide. It was just so much more effort than he wanted to have to go through. So getting on their good side was a great plan. The bonus? Any vampires around here that he wanted dead, he could conveniently just kill humans and pin it on that vampire before handing over the body. It was just all so easy for him. And he wasn't going to be one to complain.
That didn't mean everything was easy and he had nothing to think about, au contraire. Things were quite complicated, and no doubt that was not limited to the older Salvatore brother. Damon had thought that he was having budding feelings for a certain Elena Gilbert, and was more than relieved to know that he didn't. It was a lot easier to realize when he had pieced together that Katherine had never given a damn about him, and had been out of the tomb the whole time. That was certainly one way to get him upset, and push him toward actually flipping off the switch and completely forgetting about caring. It would have been easier, even with his annoying little brother trying to convince him that he cared. He did feel, and it sucked. Not feeling was going to be an easier way out, surely.
Unfortunately, there were budding feelings for a certain Bennett witch that were getting more and more difficult to ignore. Because that just made things for him so much easier. Maybe going out into public wasn't such a good idea when he was in a mood like that do to him being overly impulsive, but at the moment he really didn't care. Fresh air would be helpful. Or at least that was what he could tell himself. Except that idea seemed to back fire when he realized, glancing around out of habit, that the source of his problem seemed to be oh so conveniently only a few feet away from him. Well wasn't that great? So much for trying to find some solution. Maybe it was time to flip off that little emotion switch. It would save from the pain of having to deal with not only those pesky little emotions related to Katherine, but the ones related to Bonnie as well. Or he could kill her. That always seemed possible. After all, the promise that he had made to her great ancestor Emily was long gone after she had possessed Bonnie and destroyed the necklace. He had attacked her once out of rage, so maybe killing her would be a solution. Even with that nagging voice in the back of his head saying otherwise.

There was absolutely no doubt what so ever that Bonnie Bennett had a serious hangover. If she had magic then surely she could use it to cure a simple hangover? Apparently not because despite hours of looking through a room filled with Bennett ancestors' grimoires she had found nothing. It had definately filled her with disappointment and made the hangover even worse. Her mind felt cloudy, foggy, as if she couldn't really get through a single thought with any clarity. She had a major headache which felt more like a migrane, and she felt so sick that she hadn't wanted to eat or drink anything at all today. She would have stayed in bed, she should have stayed in bed, but she didn't. Despite being drunk the night before it seemed she would not unfortunately forget the events of the previous night. She had made plans with Elena for Operation Seduce Damon Salvatore, and knowing Elena she would hold her to it. So, Bonnie had left her Gram's house and her own comfy bed to purchase the ingrediants needed for the two different spells. She knew there was a market in the town square today. It was the last sunday of the month and there was always a market on this day in the town square. It was a great place full of home grown produce. The best place to purchase herbs, scented candles, and other much needed ingrediants. All were of high homegrown quality as well which her Grams had always liked.
With the alcohol still in her veins she still felt boiling hot despite the very cold weather. She had attempted to put on thicker clothing and various layers to appear normal but the second she tried she swore she sweated like a storm. Clearly, getting drunk was not good for a Bennett. Specifically this Bennett. God, all the things she had said to Elena. Hell, she had even yelled she loved Damon out infront of the grill! Knowing her damn luck he would have heard it. She had never felt more exposed as she did this morning. She forced herself to drudge along the pavement as she headed to the town square. She was dressed in a simple pair of denim shorts frayed at the hems as well as a white tank top with a pair of yellow flats on which matched the yellow dandilion image that was on the right breast of the tank top. She had no patience this morning and so had just gathered her unruly black curls into a ponytail with a yellow scrunchie and left it at that. After all, she didn't expect to really run into anyone this morning.
Smelling the fresh herbs and spices stall, Bonnie instantly drifted to it. A simple hemp bag was slung over her shoulder with a scrap piece of paper in her hand which contained the list of all she would need for the two spells. What had made her think that switching bodies with Elena, and then manipulating Damon's dreams, as spells be good ideas? She seriously had to remember never to drink alcohol again. It clearly did nothing but make her loose all sense of decorum and logic. Still... it had been fun. She could remember she had enjoyed every minute of it and she did still feel like a weight had been lifted off her shoulders now she had confessed all the secrets she had been hiding to Elena. Picking up a basket of herbs, Rosemary, she took in a deep breath to inhale their scent. There was nothing better then the smell of flowers, herbs, and spices. She managed to purchase all the ingrediants she needed for the spells before she felt a gaze on her. Frowning she looked around herself until she realised Damon was looking at her. This couldn't be good.

Looking at her just made him want to act on impulse, just moving too quickly to be seen in between people and doing something. What was what Damon was unsure of. Snapping her neck was always a possibility and wouldn't be traced back to a vampire, of course. There was the issue that it was in fact extremely public, and people didn't just randomly drop to the ground with broken necks. That would surely help with keeping the slightly psychotic impulse under control, to say the least. He was planning to stick around for a while longer and needed to make sure he didn't have suspicion pointing at him. But deep down, he knew that wasn't the only thing that was keeping him from just going over and killing her quickly. The thought of her not being there caused emotion to swell, emotions that had been pushed down and kept locked up for a very long time. It was supposed to be locked up for a reason as well, he didn't want to feel emotions about anyone. Covering them up was his only option in the long run as far as he was concerned.
And of course, she noticed that he had been staring at her. Or at least looking. The infamous smug smirk perched on his lips as he gave her a small little wave of his fingers. Glancing over her, Damon noted the herbs that she seemed to be holding. Probably for some witchy little trick that she planned on doing, all of the more reason to figure out why she was here. Besides, who said he couldn't be friendly? Okay, well, maybe he had. It was a part of the idea of making sure people thought that he didn't care about anyone about himself. It worked fairly well, considering the vast majority of people that knew him hated him. He was a dick, and he was proud of it. He might as well embrace it as opposed to anything else. He had no reason not to at the moment, and as far as he was aware wouldn't have a reason to actually be anything other than that in the future. Of course, there was a lot of things that he didn't know. Like how powerful those buried little feelings would end up being in the future - that was completely over his head.
Getting through the crowd was fairly simply. A part of him realized that he shouldn't have been surprised by her presence, though admittedly he hadn't realized that it was the last Sunday of the month and would have had all of those witchy little herbs that she would need for something probably. Well, that would make finding out the big what a lot easier. Plus they were in public, giving him an aneurysm probably wouldn't have been a good idea. Not to mention the fact that he could get both of them out of there in seconds and very easily snap her neck. "Fancy seeing you here, Bonnie," He commented with a smirk. "Planning some witchy little potion?" A single eyebrow quirked up for his inquiry, looking at the things in her hand. It was easy to tell that she had a various amount of spices and herbs from the smell of things, managing to identify a few of them from the mass of smells. There was surely no harm in a little curiosity. Well, as long as it was from his part. Getting curious about him was never a great idea. The wrong question could very easily and very possibly lead to there being a search for your body.

The second he noticed she had realised he was staring at her there was that smug smirk in place and he did a little wave of his fingers. God, that shouldn't be totally adorable, and yet it was. Huffing a little she turned so her back was to him so he wouldn't notice she was anything but annoyed with his antics. She kept telling herself it was just the alcohol. She did not find that wave of fingers the most adorable thing she had ever seen. Of course that would be more believeable if her traiterous heart would stop hammering in her chest like a freight train out of control. She had to get a hold of herself. Just because he was here and it might seem like he was stalking her - he could be here by coincidence, that was possible - it didn't mean that he had heard anything she had said last night. Yes, he hadn't heard a thing. This was all just a wierd coincidence. She didn't always have to be paranoid around him. Just because he tended to know things you didn't most of the time it didn't mean that there weren't times when he had no clue. Seconds later she heard his voice by her ear which made her not only jump but spin around as she did so with a hand over her heart.
"Jesus christ Damon! Give a girl some warning before you sneak up on them."
Bonnie exclaimed, trying to get her heart to calm down. Why did he have to be so close? He seriously had no idea of personal space. She frowned when he asked if she was gathering ingrediants for a potion. In a panic she answered without even thinking.
"Potion? What potion?! Of course not. Don't be stupid. Just because I have herbs, spices, and crap does not automatically mean I'm going to do a potion or a spell... or spells. I'm stocking up my cupboards and using it for dinner tonight. I'm... having guests."
Okay, so she had totally lied and it was a very rubbish lie but he was right there infront of her. It wasn't as if she could just come out and say she was going to do two spells which would help in the master plan seduce Damon. That would go over well. Bonnie cleared her throat before moving on to the next stall. Anything to distract herself.
Bonnie hated the fact normally around Damon she was firey, confident, and threatening to light him on fire whilst right now she was anything but. The hangover did not help to be her usual self, that and the night before didn't help either. What had compelled her to make such a master plan? She didn't do master plans. Well, she hadn't since last year when she, Elena, and Caroline made and did a master plan to get Caroline as class president. If she could just forget she spilled all her secrets to Lena last night and had screamed she loved Damon out on the street then she could be her old self. Unfortunately that didn't seem to be happening today. Spotting an array of aphrodisiac herbs and spices Bonnie selected a few knowing they would help tremendously by keeping the spell on the proper route with the right theme. She quickly purchased them and put them in her hemp bag, holding it tight to the side of her body. Bonnie had heard Damon say he had known quite a few witches in his time so she really did not want to risk him identifying the ingrediants and then the spells that required them. That would ruin everything and be rather humilating as well.
