Bonnie knew she shouldn't be doing this. She should be sticking to Elena's 'seduce Damon' plan. After all Lena was doing it for her. However, Bonnie was getting cold feet. She didn't know if doing this whole plan with the two spells, fake dating Tyler, and having a drunk yet 'real' moment with Damon was really the best idea. What if none of it worked, or worse, what if he figured out what she was doing? She didn't even know if he even thought of her as anything more then a spell machine - like a vending machine but for spells. Did he even notice she was female? Probably not. So against her better judgement she was going to travel back in time. She wanted to go back to just before Stefan arrived in town, track down Damon and tell him Katherine was not in the tomb so he would never come to town. That way everything bad shouldn't happen, and her Grams would be alive. She may not get the stud, Damon, fawning over her but then again since when did any hot as hell male lead ever fall head over heels for the supporting actress 'best friend'. Yeah, it didn't happen.
Now, there wasn't an actual time travelling spell written down. Bonnie however felt spells were like cakes, and so tieing bits and pieces of other spells which were relevant to time travel would work. After all, if all these other ancestors of hers could create all these spells, then surely she could. What did she have to loose anyway? Nothing. So Bonnie gathered the required ingrediants, put them into a bag along with the other materials she would need, grabbed her own grimoire which was brand new, and left her Gram's house. This would be the first spell Bonnie could write in her own grimoire. Of course, if it worked. She went into the woods near the various ruins of the older part of Mystic Falls such as the church. She sat down in a clearing surrounded by ruins before setting the bag down. She sat cross legged, making sure her grimoire had the spell she had created for time travel written on it in detail. If this went wrong she would hopefully be able to use this to work out what she did wrong and correct it. She quickly took out the ingrediants and materials she needed for the spell before checking that her clothes, toothbrush, toothpaste, shoes, ipod, phone, biros, pad of paper, and a witch 'emergancy' kit inside the bag. With the check done she put the bag over her shoulder and grasped her grimoire firmly on her lap.
She did the spell as she had imagined it, combining the ingrediants, with the incantation in latin, and of course the magic of nature which oozed from the old ruins of Mystic Falls. Little did she know this specific part would fuel the spell to take her further back then she had ever imagined. When the incantation was over Bonnie's body fell to the ground unconcious with the grimoire still in her hands. The candles blew out. Then Bonnie faded from her time period, and re-emerged in 1864 but in the exact same place she had been when she passed out from the spell. Bonnie slowly stirred, her eyes opening. She groaned, her body feeling like hell as she slowly sat up. She noticed although she seemed to be where she had passed out that the place looked different. There were no more ruins, the trees were cut back, there was a large lawn, and beyond it a unfamiliar as well as expensive looking mansion. Just what the hell had happened?
Bonnie slipped the grimoire into her bag before slowly standing up. She dusted her black skin tight denim jeans off before searching the horizon. She soon spotted a familiar face. Damon Salvatore. Although she had no idea what the hell he was wearing. Was it founders day already? Shaking her head she checked her green blouse was alright before walking over to Damon. She had on a pair of green slip on shoes to go with her blouse, whilst her ebony curls were left fown and loose as she preferred them. The green in her top really highlighted her own green eyes. As she got closer to Damon she began to notice things. There were horses. Not only that but other people of her skin tone working the land around it. Their body language looked so submissive. Bonnie thought she recognised a female who was just walking out of the mansion but she shrugged it off. It was just as she got infront of Damon that she saw who the female was with. Elena. No, it wasn't Elena. It was Katherine. She then looked at the female again.
"Sh*t! Emily!"

After returning home early for the Civil War, Damon had most certainly expected for his father to be most displeased with his actions. It was something easy to predict, his father had always been stricter and more set on whatever he decided on after his mother’s death. Well yes, the both of them had certainly been much more affected by it than Stefan due to the young age at the time, they had responded in most different ways. He had become a bit more relaxed, especially around some of the charming way that flittered in and out of the boarding house. This was perhaps to be expected, he was the elder brother though he was the one that was not yet set off to be married to one of the eligible bachelorette’s that crossed path with them. There were quite a few of them, and with so many beautiful woman it was perhaps supposed to be hard to decide on just one. That was however not the issue at the moment, it was a current young woman that had happened to find her way into their boarding home.
Katherine Pierce, of course. The woman was completely charming and had her wormed her way into not only his own heart, but his little brother’s heart as well. That was not something that Damon was pleased about, however. His brother was supposed to be engaged to Rosalyn, yet once she had arrived they had both seemed to just forget about all of the other women that they had crossed paths with before. Understandable perhaps, as she was absolutely beautiful, someone that neither of them would have easily forgotten. Absolutely charming to put it simply in more ways than one. Many woman were of course like that, it was only expected, but there was something special about her that other women just didn’t seem to possess. It was even hypnotizing. Her beauty was perhaps more understandable, many women of course were the tight corsets and the skirts were pushed out to make them look like they’re figure was larger than it was. But it wasn’t just the beautiful looks when it came to her, she just drew people in and it was like she didn’t want to let go. He was absolutely fascinated by her, whether it was out of his general politeness, or the hold that she had seemed to grab suddenly on him.
These thoughts had distracted him enough for him to be standing on the porch of the mansion, staring out like he was watching the men and women out there working. It was a reasonable enough idea, after all. He perhaps looked like he was the owner judging from the high class suit that he was wearing, though it was something quite common and even casual for people of his wealth and class. It was something that Damon honestly never thought about, just did out of habit and didn’t think about twice. It was easy enough. The sign of wealth in his family was something that was generally well known and something that he did not mind having, he was used to it at this point.
What he wasn’t used to, or perhaps had not been expecting, was a young black woman, to be dressed in such odd clothing and not be working like everyone else presumably in her family. The profane words that escaped from her mouth, causing him to faintly raise an eyebrow. Was this girl a slave? She certainly acted like no slave that he had ever met to say the least from the way that she was acting. It was most peculiar, as free slaves were not common. Neither was the provocative clothing that she had been dressed in. “Excuse me, Miss...?” He trailed off, asking for her name politely. “Do you need something?” He inquired.

She couldn't believe this. It couldn't be Katherine and Emily. She could not have gone this far into the past. It just didn't make any sense. She hadn't created the spell to come back to this time. What was it anyway? The only year she could think of was 1864, and that was only because Damon as well as Stefan had last been human then. She couldn't be in that time though. Why would the spell bring her there anyway? Frowning she shook her head as she tried to clear her thoughts. Bonnie looked around trying to find any evidence she was not in 1864. Unfortunately a piece of evidence appeared that proved she was. She heard a familiar voice and spun around to see Damon. A very human Damon. She could see the innocence in him that had never been there before. That, and he didn't recognise her as well as the way he spoke. Okay, she was most definately screwed. She was in 1864. She was only supposed to make sure Damon never returned to Mystic Falls as a vampire! On one hand though, Bonnie supposed it would be nice and interesting to get to know a real human Damon. She'd get to know what he was like before Katherine screwed him up.
"Oh! Damon... Um..."
Okay, she had watched Pride and Prejudice before with Kiera Knightley in it as well as the one with Colin Firth - come on he was wet with a white shirt! She could fake talking the way they do, right? Bonnie tilted her head slightly before forcing herself to speak.
"I am Bonnie Bennett, a cousin of Emily. I was just passing through... I fell and I think I hit my head, so I am feeling a bit disorientated right now. I would apologise for my swearing but I would not stop such language, so any apologies would be insincere."
Bonnie then realised she was not exactly dressed for this time. Now she was going to have to talk to Emily and put one of those god awful corsets on. This probably was not going to be fun especially since she was supposed to be a slave due to the colour of her skin. Well, if anyone here thought she was going to behave like a slave, be submissive, and not speak her mind they had another thing coming. She was definately not going to behave that way. No way, no siree.
"You do realise its rude to stand there doing nothing when all your workers are working hard for you?"
Bonnie asked, unable to help herself. She did briefly wonder what he would look like in his civil war uniform. Perhaps she could persuade him to wear it for her. That would be entertaining. A part of her did wonder when she went back to her time if the present Damon would remember her being in his past. That would definately be an awkward conversation. Tucking a few strands of black ringlets behind her ear she couldn't help but look Damon over. Sure, he looked similiar but there was definately a warmer feeling to him then there was when he was a vampire. She definately had to remind herself not to give him an aneurism - that would bring permenant damage to this Damon. She did wonder if they would fight when he was human. Then she realised something - she had wanted to meet him before he saw Elena and Caroline. She had wanted to see him first to give herself a fair chance at him noticing her - wanting her. Sure, Katherine was in the picture, and deep down Bonnie knew she would have to make sure Damon was turned into a vampire, but it would be nice if this Damon actually courted her. Maybe she would finally get to confess her feelings for him.
"I have always wanted to learn how to ride. I would love it if you taught me Damon."
Forward, yes, but she was going to be damned if she didn't get to spend some time with him. Besides, she had noticed the stables behind the huge mansion when looking around from the spot she was standing on. The mansion was definately not the boarding house. She supposed the boarding house must have been the slaves' quarters before the Salvatores renovated it. She had no idea when they did that but she guessed it was after their father passed away since it was now full of their belongings and heirlooms. Antiques. It was odd how Bonnie felt more comfortable being forward with human Damon whilst she was extremely shy around vampire Damon. She doubted herself around vampire Damon and always felt like she was not good enough. Especially since as far as she knew he had never even noticed she was a woman. She supposed though vampire Damon could actually hurt her. He had ripped out her throat, and he had a century and a half worth of experience with women. How could she possibly stand out? Human Damon would have less experience, and so she didn't feel quite as insignificant. She didn't feel like she had as much competition.

Bonnie/Damon
Everything about this young woman was surprising to say the least. The way she spoke and was dressed did not match the times nor the color of her skin. How peculiar. The fact that she knew his own name wasn't as shocking as the rest of them. Damon's family was popular all over Mystic Falls and generally well known because of their boarding house as well. Then there was the fact that Giuseppe was a vampire hunter, something known but not to an extent. "Are you freed? I apologize miss, but have we met? I surely think not, I would remember a beautiful face like your own." He spoke, his famous smile sliding into place at the compliment. Even now he was still a lady's man, and most certainly knew how to woe a woman, regardless of who they were. There was always the mysterious Katherine for an exception, who seemed to play his game better than he did. Another very strange thing about her. Then again, the list was absolutely endless when you had to break everything down about her.
This girl had a relation to Emily. Now that was certainly something that made since to Damon. Not just the color of her skin, but she did seem more and more like Katherine's handmaiden when he mused over the thought of it. That was interesting, though the story of her falling and hitting her head did happen to concern him. Even if he was and lady's man and had been out to fight in the war, he still possessed a sweet and innocent quality to him. "Well, Miss Bennett, would you like to take a room so you may rest then? I'm sure no fall to your head could be very pleasant." He said, offering a softer smile with his words. If the woman was hurt than that could explain why she acted oddly as well, though the way she was dressed she almost looked like a man for wearing pants. Perhaps she would need to borrow some proper clothing from her cousin. It would certainly help her blend in better and maybe help cure some of the ways she was acting - like the rude words. It was something that he would be able to ignore for the moment at least.
Motioning over the handmaiden, Damon was surprised by her words about the working men and women. It was not every day they came across someone like her, though it was easy to assume that she was from the north. That would explain the attitude about the workers at least and the fact that she seemed so headstrong as opposed to submissive like the majority of them were. "I assure you that we see to our workers very well, Miss Bennett. We would not have it any other way." He spoke calmly, only telling the truth. Even though they were more than often mistreated in other areas, all of the Salvatores were very careful to treat them well. It was a part of their reputation of course, one which none of them planned on changing. It was only best to keep it in such a way that earned them not only respect, but popularity with both sides of the war. Even if he personally had not stuck with the idea long, merely just having too much fun to return to war from his leave. That had been his excuse, at least, one his father hadn't been please with. Then again, his father was rarely happy with him.
Once more the words surprised him, but a pleasant smile lit up his face. This woman was full of surprises to say the least. She seemed very well educated, yet didn't know how to ride. That was strange, but he was starting to adjust the fact that she seemed a bit different than the other ladies around here. It was seeming like a good different as well. "Well, I would not mind teaching a beautiful young lady like yourself. I'm sure your cousin Emily would not mind finding you something more suitable to wear while I change myself?" He spoke calmly, raising an eyebrow at the older Bennett, who gave a nod to his words. That was excellent. There was a part of him looking rather forward to spending time with the young lady, and trying to find out more about her. She was absolutely intriguing with the way she spoke, dressed, and even carried herself among white men like himself. Answers was something that he was looking forward to, not to mention just getting to know this mysterious lady seemed like a fun challenge in itself.

Freed? Bonnie tilted her head and frowned in confusion at that word. What could he mean? Freed? What was that? It took a minute or two to realise what he meant. He thought she was a slave that had been freed. She didn't even know slaves could be freed. Bonnie had no intention of lieing. However, she wasn't about to tell him the entire truth of who she was etc either.
"I am not freed or a slave, Damon. I am my own person. Thankyou for the compliment. I am not used to such compliments."
Bonnie had infact blushed a little when he called her beautiful and that he'd remember her if they had met. She surely hoped he'd remember her when she returned to her right time. She couldn't help it but find it rather sweet when he offered her a room to rest from her fall. So this was what Damon was like before Katherine ruined him. God, if it was possible she felt like she was falling even more in love with him. It was ridiculous and yet she couldn't care less. She was just glad he was actually noticing her, and as a woman too! Maybe it wasn't so bad her spell had gone slightly array.
"That is very kind of you but I will be quite alright. Thankyou for the offer."
Bonnie felt nervous as Damon waved Emily over. She hoped to god Damon didn't ask Emily if Bonnie was indeed her cousin. She really did not want to have to explain everything. Especially with Damon around - she had no idea what she would say. Luck seemed to be on her side however. Well it was at first since he didn't mention Emily was her cousin infront of Emily. That was until he suggested her cousin Emily, infront of Emily, helped her change into fresh clothes. She glanced at Emily was fortunate to see she hadn't reacted. She supposed being a witch she had learnt now to react to the unusual until it was safe to find out the truth. Bonnie gave Emily a small smile of thanks before returning her attention to Damon.
"I am glad you treat them well. Then again I suppose it is no surprise since you are such a honourable gentleman."
Bonnie responded softly, finding herself blushing a little as she complimented him. Okay, so maybe she was still a little shy infront of him - he was THE Damon Salvatore - but at least she could finally just be open that she liked him and actually persue him without magic. Well, besides the going into the past spell.
"That sounds acceptable. I shall meet you infront of the stables then as soon as I am ready."
Out of impulse Bonnie leant forward and pressed a soft kiss to his right cheek before pulling away. Then she remembered what the ladies did in Pride and Prejudice when greeting or parting ways. Perhaps it was manners? She curtseyed a little, bobbing her head, before taking Emily by the hand and walking off. She wasn't sure it had been a good curtsey at all, she had never actually done it before, but at least she tried. As soon as they were in Emily's quarters Bonnie explained everything to her. Fortunately Emily believed her, and to that Bonnie was relieved. Emily also offered her spare bed for Bonnie to stay in which she was grateful for and accepted. Bonnie after all thought she may end up staying more then just today if things went well. She pushed away the thought of when the time would come to say goodbye to Damon. She would not look forward to making him promise to make Katherine think he was still in love with her ( if that changed ) and let her turn him into a vampire.
The corset was a nightmare. Bonnie could barely breathe and told Emily such. Apparently it was how it was worn though. How did anyone breathe in these things? Her ample bust was even more exposed then usual, and Bonnie wasn't entirely sure how she felt about that. She had to take off her bra, but fortunately she managed to convince Emily to let her keep her underwear. Eventually she managed to get everything on, and soon found herself looking in the mirror. It was an ivory dress with emerald green detailing in an ivy like pattern. It was stunning, and was told by Emily it was her best dress. Bonnie couldn't help but thank her. She changed her shoes for more appropriate shoes for this time that also matched her dress. With her now dressed for this time she gave Emily a hug before running out to the stables. As soon as she got there she found herself breathing a little heavily. She was definately not used to this damn corset. It was inhuman! She forced herself to put up with it though as she began looking in the stalls at the horses. They were all beautiful specimens.
"I wonder which one belongs to Damon..."

She was neither? That was most fascinating and quite a rare thing to hear, it was something Damon had never heard before face to face. Rumors of course spread around towns faster than a wildfire could hope to, but that was still extremely surprising and very curious. Born free was easy to assume after that statement, especially considering the attitude that she held with such pride. Born in Canada maybe, though her parents would have had to become freedman quite a long time ago for her to be born free. It was a most fortunate feat for this young lady. "Not use to it? That's unbelievable! The men from where you're from must be completely blind, then, there is no other way." He said surprised, his eyebrows raising up slightly to show the true surprise that he had. It hadn't been anything he would have ever expected from such a beautiful lady, though knew he could probably blame it on the skin tone. For many people it meant they deserved to be treated like trash, though his family never quite was that rude to them or anyone else for that matter.
When she declined the offer Damon merely gave a nod of his head in understanding. Even though Miss Bennett had initially come off slightly rude do to the derogatory term that she had used, it was starting to look like she was quite the young lady after all. That was most excellent then, as she had a beautiful face and body to match such a personality. Most wonderful! She seemed to be a lovely young woman the more that he was in her presence and he was starting to enjoy it even. It was only a shame that it seemed she wouldn't be staying long due to the lack of taking up a room unless she planned on staying with her cousin. That would be reasonable as well. It was something that a part of him was hoping for actually, he liked this woman a lot more than he even seemed to realize. Not that he currently would be the one to complain about it. He liked many woman even at this time, though it may not have morally been the most correct thing. But she just seemed different than the others that he knew.
"Thank you," Damon replied with a smile. The words were not completely uncommon to hear in his family. That was exactly what they all almost always made sure they acted like, especially around people that were not from the area. They were one of the founding families of Mystic Falls, after all. When she agreed to the offer the same sweet smile spread across his face. It would hopefully be fun teaching this young woman. They rode English style on their horses up here as opposed to any other style, seeing it as the best fit and generally much more appropriate. It was not common that woman could be found riding, and especially not any other style without it being on the scandalous side of things. He let the two women go, watching for a moment before turning and going back to his own room to dress properly for the occasion. It took little time for him to change, emerging with a loose fitted white shirt and tan pants, completely normal for the time even with the darker suspenders, shoes, and white socks pulled up to cover any bare part of his ankle which might have shown.
Heading out to the stables Damon noted that she was not yet there, understandable. From the looks of things she hadn't been wearing a corset and he had seen Emily put Katherine into one, needless to say it did not look easy. Grabbing a saddle, he was quick to put it on his own horse. He took a glance around the barn, quickly deciding which horse to put her on. He went with a dark stallion, one actually quite sweet despite what some thought of them. Saddling her up as well, he mounted his own horse and grabbed her reins, leading her out of the barn and around once. When he returned to the front he saw Bonnie there, and offered a smile once more. Crossing his reins over the back of the horse for both of them, he dismounted his own horse and walked over to her calmly. "Are you ready?" He inquired politely, offering out his hand toward her.

Bonnie found herself blushing from head to toe when Damon said men had to be blind to not appreciate her beauty. At least, that was the gist she got from what he said. She really really liked this Damon. He actually noticed her, and as a woman too! He didn't even know she was a witch and he wanted to spend time with her. He was complimenting her. This was going far better then she could have ever hoped for. Maybe by the end of the day she would even have a date with Damon, or a kiss from him. Maybe if she even stayed a week he would be in love with her... The more time she was spending with him the more she was feeling her heart sing in her chest. She just wanted to shower every inch of his body in kisses just so he could feel how he made her feel. God, she wanted to touch him but she knew she should wait until he made the first move. It might be too forward if she did anything more then she already had. Bonnie knew she'd treasure these moments forever, even if when she returned to her time nothing changed between her and Damon. Of course that would just break her heart. Still, at least in one time period he liked her, he saw her as a woman, and she felt truly special to him.
The stables were so exquisite. They were absolutely beautiful and luxurious. The horses here definately had it made. Bonnie soon heard Damon's voice and spun around to see him. He was definately the most beautiful man ever. She could see his muscular chest beneath the white crisp shirt, and good god his tan pants clung to his strong thighs. Okay, she had to stop staring, try not to drool, and engage brain. Even the socks pulled up couldn't get rid of the natural sexiness he oozed. Although she had to admit she found the pulled up socks rather cute. It was then she noticed his hand was outstretched. She was actually going to get to touch his hand. Beaming happily she slipped her hand into his unable to stop herself from brushing her fingertips against his soft skin. Being around him felt so different now she knew he could actually see her as a person and a woman. Damon was the most special guy in the world to Bonnie. Not that she'd admit it yet.
"Absolutely definately. You look... impressive. If you're trying to impress and make me swoon you are doing a very good job, and if you're not trying... Well, I can't wait until you do."
Bonnie responded, teasing him a little although she was completely serious and of course blushing. Bonnie found herself looking at the dark bay stallion with a smile. She had hoped she could ride the same horse with Damon... after all it would be so romantic to ride a horse with Damon's arms around her and her back pressed to his chest. She supposed though it was natural in these times for each person to have a seperate horse. Still, Bonnie found herself feeling nervous and scared for the first time since she had seen Damon. What if she just couldn't compete with Katherine? What if all of this was for nothing? What if Damon ended up riding with Katherine in his arms into the sunset? Bonnie knew it would be even more humilating to return to her time after she was practically throwing herself at Damon now and have to face her Damon. He probably wouldn't ever let her live it down, and it would really hurt.
Bonnie walked up to the right side of the dark bay stallion and gathered up his reins as she had seen done in a few movies. She looked over at Damon with what she hoped was a flirtacious smile.
"Would you help me up? With your strength it should be effortless."
She spoke softly, still finding herself blushing when she was this outgoing with Damon. Bonnie was having so many fantasies about what they could do together. They could have dinner, he could show her around his Mystic Falls, they'd hold hands, he'd whisper sweet nothings into her ear, and by the end of the week he could say he loved her and she would without hesitation say it back. They could watch the sun set and rise. She could meet his father, and be introduced as his... God, she'd love that. Of course she had to try and attempt not to let her imagination run away with her. She had to get him to like her enough to want to court her first. Bonnie just hoped she was enough for him because she refused to be anything but who she really was. Maybe she could even end up telling him what she really was and when she really came from. He could accept her once he knew as well... Yes, her imagination was now officially running away with her. Bonnie hoped he thought she looked good in the dress she was wearing. This corset was deadly uncomfortable but she'd wear a thousand for him if he wanted it.

At the comment, Damon couldn't help but smirk softly when he thanked her for her kindness. He was well known for his way with women, though it had lessened since Katherine had arrived at their boarding house. However, there were not thoughts of her or any other conquests of his in his head. He was, for once, entirely focused on this one woman. That rarely ever happened to say the least. But Bonnie enchanted him, even with her smooth dark skin. That was all a part of her mysterious air that drew him in. She was like a succubus to him if nothing else. The way she was drawing him in was something that even he could not describe. It looked to him like she had no idea about the effect she was having on him.
It was something new to say the least. Even Miss Pierce had not drawn this part of him out. There was something stronger lingering for her, an unfamiliar but unforgettable feeling. Damon wanted to feel it more often as he could feel his heart practically swelling from emotion. Her touch was warm and managed to only gain more emotion. Wrapping his hand around her darker one, he pulled her very gently over to her horse like she was something precious and fragile. That was what he was thinking, at least. She was most certainly something special. Her skin was dark, yet she was completely headstrong and very well educated. That was an entirely new thing for him to meet, but that only seemed to be a part of her upmost awe. There was so much about Miss Bennett that he did not know yet, but wanted to. She was... beautifully fascinating. He had no other words to describe it.
"I assure you getting up will be no problem." It took little effort for Damon to get her up on the horse, even with the noticeable corset and poof off the skirt as an obstacle. "I'll ride behind you until you adjust to it, if you don't mind." He explained, grabbing the main of the horse before hoisting himself up there behind her. "Are you comfortable, Miss Bennett?" He asked with a small smile she couldn't see, his muscular chest pressed against her back and arms around her waist gently, holding on the reins tightly in doing so. He might as well check and see, they were going to be in that position for more than a few minutes.
((It's short and merr - then again so am I - but it's a post.))

Bonnie found her heart racing beyond comprehension as he sat behind her on the horse with his chest pressed against her back. She was so grateful right then he only had his human senses otherwise he would have realised how aroused she was for him right then. All she could think about was his hands all over her body. She so wanted to turn around, grope his muscular chest and kiss him passionately. She forced herself not to however, and put her left leg over to the other side of the horse. She refused to ride sidesaddle as was expected in this time by ladies. She did not want to fall off, and well, she just felt more comfortable this way with her legs on either side of the horse. She rather liked the feeling of a huge beast between her legs waiting for her command. With his arms around her waist and his hands holding the reins she was finding it a hard time not to grope his thighs or any other inch of him she could reach. Bonnie had never thought Damon's prescence could be so potent to her. Sure, in her time it was still potent, but it had never been this strong. How could it be when he was just human that he was hell of a lot more potent? Then again, this Damon was spending time with her. He wasn't asking her for another spell or fighting with her. He was simply spending time with her, and of course charming her. God, he was actually using his genuine charm on her. She had never felt so special.
"Um, I don't mind. You can stay there forever if you want too."
She didn't know what made her be able to say that, but god, she liked being able to finally just be open with Damon about how she felt. She had always been terrified in her time he would end up laughing at her and picking on her forever because of it. She was afraid he'd break her heart. Here, he was just human, he was just his normal human self. The good guy Stefan often spoke of. Here, she was just Bonnie. She was just who she was and not what she was. He didn't know she was a witch. All he knew was that by the colour of her skin she should be beneath him and not even on his radar, yet here he was entertaining her, maybe even flirting with her if she was getting his signals right. If she could take this Damon back with her to her time she would, but she knew deep down she couldn't do that. She still had to make sure he got turned into a vampire, and did everything he could to save Katherine from the tomb, even after she was gone from this time. Of course she did hope by the time she had to leave they would be in love and he'd do it only for her as well as only because she asked him. She would ask him to convince Katherine he was in love with her and to drink her blood willingly. Hopefully he would do these requests, and maybe when she got back to her time, she'd still have something left of what she deemed was now her Damon. Maybe this time he'd survive the century and a half a bit more intact... Maybe she'd get lucky. Of course Bonnie had no idea if Damon, when she returned to her time, would remember his past before she went back into his past. She guessed so, since he had already experienced that past. She assumed he would just gain these memories as well on top of the ones he already had.
"Yes, I'm very comfortable... So, how do we get this boy to walk?"
Bonnie asked softly, trying extremely hard to stop blushing but around Damon it just seemed to be an instinctive reaction. That as well as getting aroused and her heart skipping beats. God, she'd end up fainting at this rate. Either that or jumping his bones which was not appropriate in this time apparently. She had a hard time believing though that Damon would not enjoy it. Right, focus on the horse Bonnie. Focus on the horse's muscles and not Damon's, or the way his body feels so warm... No! Focus. You need a clear head if you're actually going to learn to ride and to be able to keep up an intelligent conversation. This is your only chance to make a good impression on him. This is your only chance to make yourself unforgettable to him, so when you go back he'll finally need you as you need him. Bonnie told herself, snapping herself out of her Damon induced haze.
"So, have you taught many women to ride, or is this a talent only I am privy to?"

When she swung her other leg over the word, this time Damon was not surprised by the unique behavior on her part. He was starting to get used to it, at least. He couldn’t always be surprised by the different things that Miss Bonnie was going to be doing, but he would always be fascinated. Some of the actions may have been scandalous of course according to others, but he didn’t care much. He did not disprove of it perhaps because of the fact that she seemed to be so interesting. A large part of it was maybe the fact that she seemed to have so much confidence in her, much more than other woman of this day and age seemed to possess around men like himself. But he liked it. Quite a bit, actually. “I might just have to, then. I feel quite comfortable.” He teased her gently, a flirtatious smile on his lips though she could not see it. The words should have been enough though to make it clear he was flirting with her and he was enjoying it as well. She was very good company to have around.
Company that would hopefully stick around, as well. Damon happened to already be quite fond of her presence and didn’t want her to have to leave anytime soon. Hopefully she would be staying with her cousin for a healthy amount of time. That was something that he would have to inquire about later if he planned on getting close to her, a thought that had certainly crossed his mind. He felt free around her, perhaps because of how free of a spirit she seemed to be. The social cues did not seem to limit this woman to what she did and did not want to do. That was something absolutely fascinating. “First put your hands on the reins, on top of of mine, so you’ll be able to control him. Then take both of your feet and dig into the sides of him. Don’t be afraid that you’ll hurt him, he’s a strong horse.” He instructed carefully, waiting patiently for Bonnie to follow the instructions. Soon enough he felt the horse move beneath the both of them and instinctively his arms around her became slightly tighter in a protective instinct. He hardly noticed him doing so until he felt slightly more of her warmth against him.
At the question, Damon couldn’t help but chuckle softly. “You happen to be the first, Miss Bennett. So tell me, am I any good at what I’m doing? Do I make a good teacher for you?” For the most part he did inquire out of pure politeness despite the slight gentle teasing in his voice, but he as well wanted to see what she thought. Maybe get a hint at more so what she thought of him. He was quite fond of her already, more fond of her initially than he was with most women that he meant, and wanted to see if he was having the same sort of effect on her. It was what he was aiming for, at least. And well, he was very good at getting his way for the most part. After all, he had been just having too much fun to return out to war. He might as well just happen to have too much fun with Bonnie as well. As long as Stefan didn’t happen to get in his way like he had been with the case of Katherine, Damon would be fine and very, very pleased.

Bonnie ended up blushing when Damon mentioned he might just have to stay where he was because he was comfortable. It was so enchanting to hear Damon speak in the way of this time. He was so polite, kind, and playful. Innocent. There was no vulgar language and he wasn't groping her either - both of which she had seen him use on other women in her time. Of course she did want his attention in her own time, but being with Damon in the way he was when he was human... It made her heart sing. It made her proud of him. If she could bring that out in the Damon of her time then Bonnie would feel so very happy for him. She placed her hands softly on top of his unable to stop herself from rubbing her hands gently against his. Her fingers just seemed to slip effortlessly between his, entwining them. It was as if they really were made for each other. She squeezed the horse's sides gently, not wanting to dig into them, and found her smile growing as the horse moved forward at an active walk. It felt so incredible to actually be riding a horse, especially with Damon sat right behind her.
God, why did her mind go straight to the gutter when Damon asked if he was a good teacher for her? It was embarassing. She had never needed anyone as much as she seemed to need Damon. She had this feeling she would never be satisfied unless Damon was the one doing it. She hadn't felt so... at peace ( despite the sexual fustration and arousal ) since she saw Damon for the first time. She was finally with Damon, alone, and not only was he giving her his sole attention for once but he also was flirting with her. With her. Bonnie Bennett. It was a dream come true, and she really was getting the feeling she wanted to stay here forever. She could just live out a human life with a very human Damon. They could get married, have kids, and grow old together. Her heart swelled at the idea. However her conscience, whom she had dubbed as 'Grams', was telling her she did not belong in the past and that eventually she would have to return to her own time. This meant she would have to make sure Damon was turned into a vampire if she wanted a real chance at having a happily ever after with him. This unfortunately meant she would have to make Damon and Katherine closer so she would give Damon her blood. The thought of Katherine touching her Damon made her jealousy soar, but, she knew it was necessary, even if she would have to make Damon fake love for Katherine. It had to happen so they could meet again. So he would be alive when she was. Well, okay, he wouldn't be alive alive, but he would exsist.
The fact she was the first he had taught definately made a special tingle spread over her body.
"I doubt there is anything you can't do Damon if you put your mind to it. The world is yours if you want it. But yes, you are really good at teaching me to ride. I'd spend eternity on this horse with you, but that may be more down to you then your teaching."
Bonnie couldn't believe she had said so much, but at least she hadn't said 'I am yours if you want me' although she had so wanted to. Maybe later. She tilted her head back so she could look up at Damon's face, a sparkle in her jade green eyes and a smile upon her full lips.
"So where shall we go Damon? Do you have any secret places around here?"
She asked, teasing him a little before lifting her head so she would be looking forward again. The horse was still moving forward at a walk. Bonnie felt so enveloped by Damon. His arms were around her, his chest against her back, and her fingers entwined with his. Yes, this was definately where she preferred to be. Would it really be so bad if she just stayed here forever? Well, their lifetimes anyway. Here he saw her, and he liked her. He flirted with her. Here there was no Elena, no Caroline, and Katherine didn't seem to have her claws into Damon yet. It almost felt like here there was no other woman in Damon's eyes. This was everything and more then she had hoped for.
"Is this your horse Damon?"

At her words, Damon smiled softly. She had a different take on life than most of the women around here did, and it was a most interesting one. Certainly unique - and in a very good way. So much about her was different than what he had grown up and become accustomed to, but he was enjoying it extremely. Sometimes a few new things were good - and this was certainly one of them to say the least. Those feelings that he was feeling around her, even now just having her between her arms, were new ones. Ones that he was very fond of and had absolutely no wish of ever leaving him. He felt... complete. So at peace with her here. Her leaving would certainly take the feeling from it and cause him to sulk. At the moment, that was the last thing that he could consider though. She was something special and had already taken up a special place in his heart. Far too quickly, to say the least. It was a very surprising thing for something to happen so quickly, especially to him. He was known to be quite the lady’s man around Mystic Falls, even if it was on the scandalous side of things. But with her, he didn’t want to be the same way he had been with all of the other women. He wanted to be different for her, good for her. He just wanted to make her happy. And the comment about eternity, well, his thoughts couldn’t help but flicker over to Katherine. It was entirely possible for that to actually happen, but no such words would ever escape his lips. “I might just take up that offer, then.” He commented with a teasing grin, keeping his composure the same as it had always been.
Making eye contact with her when she looked back at him, it was tempting to press his lips against her full ones, though he restrained himself from doing so. That was no way to treat a lady after just meeting them. He contemplated her question for a moment, racking his brain for possibilities. In doing so, without realizing it, he rubbed his thumb gently against the back of her hand for a few seconds. “I think I can show you somewhere,” It was a clearing, not to far into the woods, where he had come before the war just to think over things. “Pull your reins to the right some, the horse will go that way. That gap in the woods,” He lifted his hands off of the rein to point toward a gap between the trees, “is where you want to go.” He finished. The place wasn’t generally known, even to the locals, but he knew the way rather well and probably would not forget it any time soon.
The question was a bit on the random side of things but it made him smile. “Yes, it is. I’ve had him for a few years now as well. His name is Deniro.” The name was a unique one perhaps, but the horse was a unique one as well. It made sense in his mind. Damon was different than most men around there, whether or not he recognized it. He was respectful and courteous yet an extreme flirt and more than friendly with the women in multiple ways. People knew that as well and were used to it. What Bonnie knew about him he had no idea, but he doubted she knew all too much. Even if her cousin had informed her about him, she hopefully did not all too much about him. He liked being able to surprise people - like with where he was taking her. It was a bit scared to him so to say and he had never taken anyone else there. He had to start with someone.

Bonnie honestly still couldn't believe the effect Damon had on her. Before she ever saw him she was just a happy and content young woman. One that never really felt lust, or love, although she did find a few of the opposite sex attractive in her time. Then Damon appeared, and suddenly she felt like a ravenous lioness in heat and desperate for the lion's attention. The lion of course being Damon. One half of her was focused on the need to rub herself against Damon, kiss him, and be in his arms. The other side wanted to just spend innocent quality time with him. It was extremely hard for Bonnie to keep control of herself. Especially when she had tilted her head back. All she had wanted was for him to kiss her then. She had to focus though. This was a different time. Kissing may not be allowed. Did you have to wait until you were a couple, or engaged, or marriage? Bonnie had no idea. Next time she was going to watch Pride and Prejudice along with Sense and Sensibility with more awareness. It surely could have helped her here if she had actually paid attention to such movies. Maybe she should research it on the internet. It was then Bonnie realised something - there were no phones. No internet. Was there electricity or just candles? She hadn't realised all day thus far there was no modern conviences. Then a thought dawned on her; what the hell am I going to do for food?
When Damon mentioned on taking up her offer on eternity she found herself smiling, although there was a bit of sadness to it. He would do eternity, although whether it would be for her she didn't know, but the way things were going maybe he would do it for her. Either way Katherine would have to be the one to turn him, and that would only happen if Katherine believed Damon was in love with her. Yep, the only thing that sucked about being back here was that she would have to get Damon to hook up with Katherine regardless. Still, it would be worth it. She'd tell him what he needed to do, he'd promise to do it ( and she knew he was true to his word ), she'd return home, and he'd hopefully come for her. She just kept telling herself that everything would turn out alright. She wasn't a witch for nothing, and this spell she had created wouldn't have worked if it hadn't meant to work in the grand scheme of things. Bonnie believed this. Everything happened for a reason, as her Grams used to say.
"Eternity would be a great thing if I got to spend it with you."
Bonnie confessed, before looking in the direction Damon was pointing. She moved the reins to the right as he said and found herself smiling happily as the horse, Deniro, walked towards the secret spot Damon was taking them to. Bonnie wanted to know everything about Damon she didn't already know. One thing she wanted to know especially though was his mother. She had never heard of her. She had heard a lot of bad mouthing of his father, but nothing of their mother. What could have happened to her? Did he too have bad luck when it came to mothers?
"Thats a nice name for a horse. He's very beautiful, Damon."
She complimented softly. It didn't seem to be so hard to communicate with Damon. Maybe the language in these days wasn't as complex as historians and such made you believe. After all, Bonnie was having a conversation with Damon, and there wasn't much that had to be expressed in another way or Damon didn't understand. Bonnie tilted her head a little in thought as she pursed her lips. There was a question she had always wanted to ask...
"Damon, when, how, and with you did you loose your virginity?"
Sure, perhaps it was something no one ever talked about these days. Sex was never talked about, and not done outside of marriage, but Bonnie was curious. She had never known when he had lost it, and with his large conquests of women in the future it was likely her Damon would not remember. A human Damon probably did though. It wasn't long before they reached Damon's spot - proved by the fact Deniro stopped, recognising the place - and Bonnie was speechless. It was definately one of the more beautiful parts of the forest. She could see why Damon liked it so much.
"Wow, its so pretty here. Do you come here to think or hide? Or both?"
