Elena Gilbert sat in her room looking down on the almost empty page of her diary. When she had decided this evening it was time to write everything down, it had seemed like a good idea to her. After all, so many things had happened in the last time and so she had a lot on her mind. But right now her mind seemed as if a hurricane had swept through it and everything she had wanted to write down seemed gone. Elena sighed frustrated, closed her diary and threw it on the window sill. Then she got up from her bed and walked through her room. Running one hand through her long dark brown hair. She stopped in front of her desk and threw a glance on her cell. But it only showed her, that there were no new messages or no missed calls. That was when Elena decided it was time to get out of here. So she put on her shoes and grabbed her jacket as she walked out of her room. As she almost had reached the front door, she called "I'm going out to the grill." then she opened the door and stepped outside.
A cold wind tugged on her clothes and Elena shivered. It had been a beautiful sunny day, but now that the evening had started it seemed to be over. But Elena tried to push that thought aside. After all she had enough other things to worry about. Like the whole thing about her adoption or all the vampires that were trying to kill or harm her and everyone else around town. Happily she had Stefan and Damon, who were protecting her, also she had Bonnie who was trying to help her as well. Sure at the moment her relationship with Bonnie was a bit complicated, because of Stefan and Damon, who were vampires, which Bonnie clearly disliked. But they were best friends or better said they were like sisters. So Elena was sure the two of them could work their problems out somehow. Aimlessly she walked down the streets of Mystic Falls until she reached the Grill. That was when she decided to go inside and have drink, maybe she would even meet some of her friends there, she thought to herself.
The Grill seemed almost empty as she walked inside, not a good sign, Elena thought. She looked around for a familiar face, but she couldn't find one. For a moment she thought about leaving again, but then she told herself "You came here, now you stay, maybe someone you know will walk in later..." So Elena walked over to an empty table and sat down. When a waitress came to her table she ordered a drink. Then again she looked around the Grill, wishing that Stefan would be here with her or Bonnie. So she pulled her cell out of her pocket and started to write a message to each of them. Sure, she didn't knew if they would see her message, but she still hoped it. As the waitress brought her drink, Elena thanked her and then took a sip of it. Before she threw a glance on the clock on the wall. That was when suddenly the chair next to her was moved. Surprised Elena turned around to look at the person next to her.

Caroline sat down infront of Elena, noticing the shocked expression on her face straight away. In truth, she had been sat at the bar all night hoping for somebody to show their face, drowning her sorrows in a glass of Jack Daniels over the fact she had to kill bunnies to quench her thrist/hunger instead of indulging in a bowl full of fries, or a burger. Something delicious like that. The glass, which was now placed infront of her, was a glass half full. Not half empty, no. Half full. It being half full rather then empty was just like Caroline's outlook on life. Because she saw everything brighter, rather then darker. For some reason, the blonde, now plagued with vampirisim, forced herself to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Even if the situation was on a runaway train down a hill. And this time, Elena was Caroline's light in the grill.
"I'm so glad you're here!" She exclaimed, the broad smile that seemed to be permanantly slapped onto her features was still stappeled there; her shiney white teeth literally looked like small peices of iceburges. The statement was true, she had been bored out of her brain. Not even shopping had cured it this time around. After spending two-hundred and fifty dollars in the local mall, she was still on a downer thanks to a woman by the name of Kathrine. Despite the fact she was Elena's spitting image scared her.. Heck, everytime she looked at her friend she jumped thinking of the night at the hospital which was eternally stuck in her head like a broken record.
"I've been so bored." Caroline explained the situation futhur, throwing her hands around and rolling her eyes. Over-expressing herself as usual. "I've been stuck in the grill all day, well for the past hour or so atleast." Yes, typical Caroline to make the drama of everyday life in Mystic Falls even bigger then it already was at the moment.. "I mean, have you ever tried to kill a bunny? It's not exactly the bestest sport in the world." She slumed back into the chair, letting out an un-needed breath of air. Could you imagine girly-girl, fashion addict Caroline killing a bunny? A bunny that had the cutest nose, eyes and ears ever? A bunny with lovely white fur? No, and nobody possibley would ever be able to do that. It just wasn't in the girls nature to do such a thing. But that was when she was human. Caroline discovered everything changes when you become a vampire, some for the better and some for the worst. Mostly the worst. You're life takes some spins and turns but she would never wish this on anyone. It was kind of hard to explain to you're mother why you weren't in bed last night without using complusion; something she didn't favour at all against her own mother. The phrase 'Oh, I was out bunny hunting' was just simply not going to do the trick this time.

Elena looked around the Grill, it still seemed almost empty. For a moment, she wondered where everyone was tonight. In the past, Elena had never missed a Party, also she had always known it already when a Party had been planed. After all, to that time, Elena had been the life of the Party and the center of attention together with Bonnie and Caroline. A part of her did miss this old Elena, she sometimes wished she could be more fun again or could change everything that had happened, so that she could be happy again. But Elena, knew she couldn't change the past. She could only change what was going to happen now. Elena took a sip from her drink, sighing lightly. Tonight, seemed not to be a good night, she thought. Elena hated being bored and she hated to sit around with nothing to do. She would have been happy, if she would have had someone to talk to. But since she had not seen a familiar face in the Grill until now, she probably would leave soon again. Going back home, where she would sit around and do nothing, what sounded like a really bad plan for the beginning of the weekend, she thought.
As the chair next to her was moved, she was torn out of her thoughts and turned her attention to the person beside her. A big smile appeared on her face as she saw Caroline. "I'm so glad you're here!" Caroline told her. Elena smiled at her friend and said "You have no idea, how happy I am to see you!" with a friendly smile on her face. It was true, because Elena was really bored and Caroline always had great ideas and also she was one of the people Elena could talk to openly. Sure in the past Elena and Caroline have had their difficulties. They had been opponents in a way, because they both had tried to be the center of attention at school and at every Party. But now that was different, they both had changed a lot. Caroline was now a vampire and she had grown up really fast after her change. It was now easier for Elena to talk to her, also she had to keep no secrets from her anymore, for what Elena was really thankful. Sure she blamed herself for what had happened to Caroline, she thought it was her fault, that her friend had gotten changed by Katherine.
"I've been so bored." "I've been stuck in the grill all day, well for the past hour or so at least." "I mean, have you ever tried to kill a bunny? It's not exactly the bestest sport in the world." Caroline said a moment later. Elena gave her friend a crooked smile and explained then "I was bored as well, that's why I came here." and added a moment later "Yuk, you were hunting small cute little bunnies?" with a disgusted expression on her face. Elena said a moment later fast "I mean not that I want to say something against your diet, I mean I happy you chose Stefan's way of living, but still it's hard to imagine that you kill those cute, fluffy, little things..." Then she took a sip of her drink, before she asked a moment later "So do you know where everyone is tonight, did we miss a Party or anything?" "I mean this places, seems almost dead..." she laughed lightly, looking around the Grill. Before she asked "You said you were happy to see me, so I guess you have to tell me something, don't you?" Then waited what Caroline was going to say to her.

'You have no idea, how happy I am to see you!'
Caroline grinned at that. She liked making people happy. Infact, she loved it. She was a general people person, meaning she loved the social life and always needed something to do. Thats possibly the reason to blame over the fact she was so down tonight. "I know right?" She waved her free hand. "No offence taken. If It wasn't for Stefan I have no idea what I would of done." She took a small sip of her drink before gently placing it back down, watching what was left of the icecubes clash gently together creating a stir. She nodded with a half hearted smile. It was the true, the grill was totally deserted. Normally, the place was busy and ready to burst at the seams with hormonal teenagers of every agenda. Weather it be the druggies, jocks or the maths club monthly get-to-together; the grill was the place to be every night. Nobody knew what it was. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere? Maybe because it was the only place were teenagers could actually go apart from school in this quaint, pictuesque town.
"I can honestly say, I have no idea." Caroline sighed once more, shaking her head as if questioning herself. Ever since Kathrine had turned her, her life had been upside down. Everything had blown away and all that was left was meer dust. Caroline was the word-spreader, the gossip-giver, the one who read every single fashion magazine to get the low down on what was hitting the highstreet. But now, that had all changed. Everything had changed. She had became more aware of what was going on around her, rather then what she used to be like. And boy, did she hate it. She wanted to go back to that time, were she could be what she used to be. Oh, how she was deprived from that. "But to answer that question fully, No, I don't think so." She smiled softly placing her hands onto the wooden table top infront of her.
Caroline sighed; pouting her lips whilest throwing her head onto her arms. She wondered if she did infact have any latest gossip. What Michael Smith had been doing with Danielle Green or the fact Kerry Holmes cheated on her boyfriend with a male stripper. No, Caroline was sure that it was all old news. She simply shook her head. "Apart from the fact I broke up with Matt?" She asked Elena in a questioning tone wondering if Bonnie or Matt himself had already told her. Word spreads fast in Mystic, well it would. The town was the size of a match box for christ sake.

Elena saw a smile appear on Caroline's face, after her comment about being happy to see her. What made her feel better as well. After all, there had not been much in the last time for Caroline to smile about. First there had been this terrible accident, in which she had almost died. Then there had been Katherine who had changed her into a vampire and now as if all of this was not enough she and Matt had broken up. So Elena was really happy to see that Caroline could still smile about some things. Elena was sure, she had also not been a really good friend in the last time. She had been so busy with all her problems and all the trouble that was going on in Mystic Falls, so that she had not paid much attention to her friends problems. But Elena wanted to make it up to her friends now again. She had talked to Bonnie already and the two had spent a girls night out together. So why not do the same things with Caroline, maybe that way, she could make some more smiles appear on Caroline's face again, she thought to herself.
"I know right?" "No offence taken. If It wasn't for Stefan I have no idea what I would of done." Caroline said a moment later to her. Elena nodded and said then "Yeah, I can see what you mean, if I imagine it would have been just you and Damon as vampires, you would for sure now drink human blood, even if it comes from blood bags..." with a crooked smile on her face. She added a moment later "But Stefan told me you are doing really good." "He says, you have a really good self-control for a young vampire." with a small smile on her face. "I can honestly say, I have no idea.""But to answer that question fully, No, I don't think so." Caroline answered her next question a moment later. Elena took another sip of her drink, before she said "Wow, seems like it's just the two of us then." she added a moment later "But doesn't matter...I mean we two can have fun on our own or even make a small two person Party!" laughing lightly. At least, in the past it had never mattered to them how many people were around, they always had their fun, why should that have changed, Elena asked herself.
She heard how Caroline sighed silently and watched her pouting her lips while throwing her head onto her arms. Then she said in a questioning tone "Apart from the fact I broke up with Matt?" Elena gave her friend a compassionate smile and put her hand supportive on Caroline's. Then she said with an uneasy expression her face "Yes, I heard that...I'm really sorry you two broke up." "I mean, you two seemed always so happy and you looked really perfect together and now it's all over, that's somehow hard to believe..." Before she added a moment later "And again, I guess neither Bonnie or I was there for you..." sighing lightly. "In the last time I really notice, what a bad friend I am..." Elena sighed and added a moment later "But if you want to talk about it, I will listen, I promise!" "Or if there is anything else I can do for you, just let me know!" she said giving her friend another warm smile.

Caroline rolled her eyes as she heard his name. It was his fault after all she was in this mess, and she did have right of way to blame him. Yeah, sure, he might of hurried her progress of becoming better up but if she didn't have his blood in her system, Kathrine would of never had thought to turn her in the first place. That was Caroline's philsophy of the story anyway. But it didn't stop there, he tried to stake her too. She hadn't seen him since that night, nor did she plan to see him again anyway, unless it was something to do with protecting Elena. If it came to that, Caroline would be the adult one, placing her difference aside and getting along without trying to attack him or something drastic like that. Or atleast she could try.
She laughed lightly. "I try my best." She shrugged her shoulders lightly, tilting her head to the side with a small smile. "After all, I'll say it once and I'll say it again, I don't like killing bunnies never mind humans." Caroline whispered the last part lightly, making sure nobody was around to hear. If word got out she was a vampire, god knows what would happen. But she knew for a fact she would end up dead, or a pile of ashes out of that situation; and she did not want that. Something she had always worried about was death. Dying. It just freaked her out so much, the thought of it made her shiver. And with that she pushed it to the back of her mind and nodded.
"Of course we can!" She exclaimed happily, scrunching her nose up abit. Times like these reminded her of what life used to be like. Right back before Elena's parents had died, and right back before any of this freaky supernatural horror-like movie kicked in. She used to be a normal teenaged girl, making it through life with the worry of if she looked like a mess, or if her hair was frizzy, what the weather would be like and what outfit to wear for the next party. Yeah, she still thought about it from time to time, but not as much as she did before. Just shows how many things change when you become a vampire. You're whole world goes pop.
Caroline shook her head at the thought of her and Matt, she twisted her lips up in some sort of odd thought. "I do love him." She stated sadly, her voice kind of melodramatic. "It's just, my lifes took a turn for the worst Elena. Nothings how it used to be, and me and Matt just.. Well it wont be the same, and I don't want to hurt him. Both physically and emotionally." Caroline sighed at the thought. She shook her head. "No, no. You're an excellent friend. Just, right now we all have problems of our own. And you have a certain one with name Kathrine." Caroline scowled, bringing her drink up to her lips. "We'll get her back, somehow."

It was strange, but to think about Caroline's problems and to talk about them, seemed to Elena a lot easier, then dealing with her own. Maybe that was, because she liked helping others, maybe it was because she did not like to see one of her friends being said or it was maybe because that way she had not to think about her own problems. A smile appeared on her face as she thought a moment later, that all the things she just had thought about were part of it. When all this vampire, magical stuff had started Elena had believed she would be the only one that would bring herself in trouble with it. She had never wanted to get her friends involved in this and for sure she had never wanted that one of them got hurt. Especially, she had not wanted that one of them got involved with the whole Katherine thing, cause one thing was sure and that was that Katherine would do everything to reach her goals, no matter who she had to hurt for it. Elena was also sure, Katherine would not give up until she had hurt everyone Elena loved or before one of them died. She knew it sounded hard, but that was the truth.
Caroline laughed lightly and said "I try my best." and added a moment later "After all, I'll say it once and I'll say it again, I don't like killing bunnies never mind humans." Elena grimaced at the thought of her friend killing another human. But then fast thought, that this was probably not one of Caroline's biggest problems. After all, her mother was the Sheriff in town and she was one of the most important persons when it came to hunting vampires. So if Caroline's mum would ever find out, that her daughter was a vampire, there would be for sure a family drama. "I know you do your best!" Elena said to Caroline. "And again, I'm so sorry I never wanted that any of you got hurt and I never wanted to pull you all into this..." she said sighing and running one hand through her long dark brown hair. In the last time, Elena did apologize really often, she had the feeling. But on the other hand, there was a lot she had to apologize for, she thought to herself.
"Of course we can!" said Caroline happily. Elena beamed at her friend and said "Great, cause I think we both could need some distraction from all the things that are going on here and from our now highly complicated lives..." When Elena thought about the past, she always remembered the wonderful Party's Caroline had organized and all the fun they have had. Especially, she remembered the first time, Bonnie, Caroline and Elena herself had went to a Party. Elena couldn't help but smile at the memory. So she said a moment later "I just remembered our first time on a Party and the terrible headache on the next morning, but I think it was worth it, it was a great Party!" laughing about the memories. Before she asked "So do you have any ideas, what we two could do tonight?" she added "I mean after all, you were always the one who organized the best Party's!" she smiled at her friend, waiting what she was going to say about it.
Elena watched her friend shaking her head and a moment later she said sadly "I do love him." and added sighing "It's just, my lifes took a turn for the worst Elena. Nothings how it used to be, and me and Matt just.. Well it wont be the same, and I don't want to hurt him. Both physically and emotionally." Elena nodded at Caroline's words, of course she did understand her best friend. After all, she had gone through that pain as well until she had noticed that she truly loved Stefan. So she said "I know what you mean Caroline and that's really nice of you, that you don't want to hurt Matt and anything..." "After all, I went through all this pain as well with Stefan at first and I can tell it was really hard and it's a lot do deal with!" she added sighing. "But in the end it was worth it, at least in my case, but I see why you did not tell Matt..." "He did suffer enough in the last time, I mean he did just lose his sister and he is always has to care for himself, since his mother is no big help..." "So I think you did act very considerate!" then she couldn't help but add "Maybe you two even find a way back to each other at some point!" "After all, your love for each other seems really and you look so cute together. Also normally two people who truly love each other find their way back." with a compassionate smile on her face.
A moment later Caroline said "No, no. You're an excellent friend. Just, right now we all have problems of our own. And you have a certain one with name Kathrine." Elena sighed and let her head fall down on her arms. Before she looked up at Caroline again "I really wish, I knew a way to get ride of her, I would do anything to undo what she has done to you, to anyone..." she said sighing and added a moment later silently "If I had to give up my life for it, I would!" "So that you all could get back to your normal lives." Then a moment later she said frustrated "See that's why I think, all that has happened is my fault, she wouldn't have done that to you, if I would not have made her angry!" and made a gesture with her hand towards her friend. When Caroline said to her "We'll get her back, somehow." Elena nodded weakly and said "I hope so...I really do!" and looked at her friend directly.

Elena's voice filled her mind as she took it all in, shaking her head. "It was never you're fault Elena." Caroline gave a half hearted smile, placing her hand onto the table. Of course it wasn't Elena's fault she turned out this way. It was her mirror images, and the one and only Damon Salvatore. That's who was to blame. "You didn't ask Damon to feed me his blood." She grimanced at the thought of the elder Salvatore, shuddering slightly. He manipulated her, teased her and fed off her; then he goes and turns her into a vampire. I bet he had it planned with her, to make my life a misery, Caroline thought. "Plus," She added.. "This way, I can help save you and be the herion of the day." Her smile broadened. Normally, it was her who would be the damesel in destress, no matter what the situation. However, this time, Elena was the one who was in deep trouble this time around.
"Great, cause I think we both could need some distraction from all the things that are going on here and from our now highly complicated lives..."
She nodded her head quickly, up and down numerous times. The more she thought about it, the more surreal it felt. It was like this whole this was some messed up dream that she had conjured up whilest drunk one time, but not even pinching could fix these problems. "Definatly. Just one simple, quiet day shopping or a simple party without the worry, panic or stress of the supernatural world." She finished with a giggle, closing her eyes for a brief moment before bursting out laughing at the thought of her first ever hangover. The party was definatly worth it, althought she couldn't remember anything from that night, Caroline could tell the woodpecker inserted in her head for the whole day was capable if she could experience a time like that again. "It was great. Do you even remember what happend because I for one, certainly dont." The more Caroline thought of the times, the more she wanted to invent a time machine and just relive that day again. Just once before having to cope with the drama of her new life. She shrugged at Elena's question. "Nothing to do with vampires, witches, werewolves or anything else that we haven't yet met in this crazy, nutter like world." She stated, matter-oh-factly.
"I mean after all, you were always the one who organized the best Party's!"
Caroline smiled, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear and looked up in thanks to Elena. "I know right? I really should sort something out. No wonder Mystic Falls has been so quiet." Call her vain if you want to, or simply honest; But Caroline will admit what she feels is the truth, and without her or Elena for that matter sorting things out then Mystic Falls was just another boring town on the end of a highway. Elena, Caroline and Bonnie were the three who brought it to life on Friday nights. Weather it be a gathering at the grill, or a party near the falls. Caroline shook her head. "Don't blame yourself Elena. None of this is you're fault, the only reason shes here is because she wants Stefan back. And that is not going to happen. Theres no going back now." It was true. Caroline was a vampire now, meaning if they just gave up there would be no reason in her becoming one in the first place. She could help this way, she could help save Elena and kick Katherine's ass.

Caroline shook her head and said "It was never you're fault Elena." Elena nodded, but still she did not completely agree with Caroline. To much had happened and too many people had gotten hurt, because of her. It had been her fault, that Bonnie had been unprepared when Damon had attacked her, because she had not told her what was going on. It was also her fault, that Bonnie had lost her Grams, because she had asked them to lift the spell from the tomb once again, so that Stefan and Damon could get out. It was even her fault, that so many innocent people got hurt, because she had wanted to open the tomb again. No matter, what everyone said to her. Elena did blame herself for all of this. She even did blame herself still for what had happened to Caroline, cause after all it had been her, who had asked Damon to give some of his blood to Caroline. Sure she had not known, that Katherine would use that for her own purposes, but still that did not make it any better for her.
She was torn out of her thoughts, when Caroline said to her "You didn't ask Damon to feed me his blood." "Plus," "This way, I can help save you and be the herion of the day." Elena shook her head and said then "That's not completely true, sure I did not ask Damon to feed you his blood, but I did agree to his idea, what isn't any better then asking him to do it!" a moment later she added "Thanks, for wanting to help protecting me!" looking seriously at her friend. Deep inside herself, Elena did not want that her friends, did risk their lives for her. She felt highly uncomfortable, when she thought about it. She even had thought of ways already, to keep them all out of this. Elena still hoped there was a way, that she could deal with Katherine and the tomb vampires on her own, even though she knew very well, she could never do it alone. She needed her friends and in a way the needed her as well.
"Definatly. Just one simple, quiet day shopping or a simple party without the worry, panic or stress of the supernatural world." Caroline said giggling. Elena couldn't help but smile back at her friend at that thought. So she said a moment later "What do you think about a shopping day, just you, me and maybe Bonnie?" looking at her friend quizzically. A moment later Caroline replied to her second statement "It was great. Do you even remember what happend because I for one, certainly dont." laughing lightly. Elena started to laugh as well and said then "Well, I do not remember much of that night, maybe the beginning of the Party, but for sure not the end and that's probably a good thing!" and added a moment later "I mean, who knows what we have done there..." shaking her head lightly while she was laughing. When Caroline said "Nothing to do with vampires, witches, werewolves or anything else that we haven't yet met in this crazy, nutter like world."
"Yes, it is for sure a crazy world, sometimes I wish I could wake up and find out, that this all was just a crazy bad dream and that everything is still normal after I woke up." she sighed and added truthfully "But I know this is not a dream and I know this is the reality and even though a part of me would like to change all the things that have happened, another part wants that everything stays the way it is!" Looking at Caroline, she asked laughing lightly about herself "Does that sound stupid?" In the next moment Caroline said "I know right? I really should sort something out. No wonder Mystic Falls has been so quiet." Elena nodded and answered then "Yes, your really should and just to let you know I'm open to do everything, if you decided to plan anything!" with a small smile on her face. A Party or something like that, was something she could really have needed, but maybe now that she had talked to Caroline about it, there would be one in the near future.
When Caroline said to her "Don't blame yourself Elena. None of this is you're fault, the only reason shes here is because she wants Stefan back. And that is not going to happen. Theres no going back now." Elena nodded. Then she took another sip from her drink, looking around the Grill once more. Before she said "I know, but I will never ever leave Stefan to her so easily, I love him more then anything else and if Katherine wants a fight, she can have it!" she added a moment later "But if she decides to fight, then she should please fight with me and leave anyone else out of this!" "I know, I know...she does love to play games with others but still, I would prefer if she would just hurt me and not everyone I care about..." Elena sighed and looked at Caroline with a weary expression on her face, waiting what her friend was going to say to her.

Caroline's small hands were still currently wrapped around the base of now sadly, completely empty glass of Jack's. She shook her head, "Damon is still to blame, he shouldn't of done it in the first place." She stated plainly, as if it was a simple fact of life. Which, suprisingly it was now. Mystic Falls wasn't exactly the most normal place in the world, no it was far from it. If you lived here, then you might aswell be recreating the latest version of Twilight or perhaps another movie of Underworld. Its all the same, all the freaky supernatural stuff. Caroline remembered asking Damon why he didn't sparkle, she scoffed silently to herself at the thought of him. Damon in general made her want to throw up, how he managed to kill without showing remorse was something Caroline would never know. No matter if she lived this earth for another thousand years, nothing would ever make her pluck up the courage to snap someones neck. Espically someone who was innocent, like Elena's brother Jeremy. She just simply couldn't do it. "Of course I want to protect you Elena. I'll play my part aslong as everyone else plays there." "What do you think about a shopping day, just you, me and maybe Bonnie?"
The thought made her want to start jumping up and down in her seat. Shopping was something Caroline had adored since she could walk. Despite the fact her mother had no fashion sense at all (could you blame her, she's the sherrief for christ sake), she still managed to look half way cute in her baby photos. "Oh!" Caroline grinned like the cat from Alice in Wonderland, or this version, Caroline in Wonderland. "I love it, we should go this Saturday definatly! You know I can't resist a good shopping trip." And it was a true fact, everyone who knew Caroline would know this too. She was an addict, and it was an offer she couldn't refuse from anyone. Not only was it relaxing, but it was a time were her and her friends could walk around choosing out nice outfits before pigging out in the canteen. It would give the three of them a chance to act normal, without having to practice magic, kill bunnies or worrying when you're 600 year old twin was going to come kill you. No, a perfectly normal day, something all of them needed.
Caroline smiled at Elena's some what confusing gesture. "I suppose now I have to live by the philsophy that everything happends for a reason, and that it will all turn out happy." She shrugged. "If it isn't happy, then it isn't the end. It's the only thing that gives me hope nowere days." She shook her head melodramaticly, a small smile layed on her face. It was true. Life was so confusing at the moment, nobody knew what would happen next or which way they should turn. It was a never ending rollercoaster filled with plenty of ups and downs to share out. "It dosen't sound stupid. I guess you're glad it happend because you met Stefan out of it." She nodded once more. Stefan was a good guy, the type who played the hero in fantasy stories. Someone, and one of the few who was only eligable to date Elena. And by god, did the couple have Caroline's permission. "I think I'll organize one soon, you know, when we have time. Just adding another relaxing day to our list of things to do." She looked up dreamily at the ceiling for no apperant reason. "I ought to buy a calender, writing down the dates we plan to attack or when my next squirel hunt should be." The funny thing was, she wasn't being sarcastic. All of it was true, sadly enough.
Caroline lifted her hand up for a high five. "We'll give her one heck of a fight." Caroline sneered lightly. Kathrine Pierce was someone who she feared more then fear itself. Nothing could comprehend to her threats and what the vampire was capable of. No, nothing at all. "The fact is though Elena, is this is how Kathrine plans on getting to you. She knows that you'll do anything to protect you're friends and more so you're family. But you can't show her its bothering you, not at all. Because she'll only try it all the more, you understand me?" Caroline let out a breath of dead air once more. "I bet she was like you in her human life, caring and lovable. But then after years of being alone, I guess it turns people." Tagged: Elena! Words:746 Outfit: Too lazy!

All this talking about a day off, made Elena wish even more she could escape this life for at least one day. Everything was so complicated and the only thing that was in sight, was even more trouble. When all of this had started, Elena had felt so happy, happy to be with Stefan and to have a normal life again. But then everything had changed in the blink of an eye. Suddenly there had been a lot of vampires, who wanted to kill her, her friends and her family. That had been the moment in which Elena had started to realize, that the life she had just chosen, was dangerous and not only for her, but for everyone around her. Especially since Katherine had come to town, she was probably the most dangerous vampire, Elena had met until now. Also it was hard to protect her friends and family, who knew nothing about all of this from her, since she was her double and Elena had to admit one thing and that was, that Katherine was a good actress and that if she wanted something, she normally got it. But not this time, Elena thought to herself. Elena wanted to rather fight, then give to Katherine what she wanted, what was for sure Stefan.
She was torn out of her thoughts, when Caroline said to her "Damon is still to blame, he shouldn't of done it in the first place." Elena smiled at her friend and said sighing "You know, how he is, he does normally whatever he wants, if others like it or not..." "Sometimes not even Stefan or I myself can stop him." Normally Elena was one of the few people, Damon did listen to and it was right it had been his idea to safe Caroline with his blood and Elena had agreed. That was what she had gotten from trusting him. She had to admit that normally Damon did keep his words, but when Caroline had been at the hospital, it had seemed like everything had been going the wrong way, so that Damon could not keep his word. After all, Caroline was a vampire now. What had made Elena most angry about Damon, had been the fact, that he had tried to kill Caroline after her change, that was something really unforgivable, she thought.
"Of course I want to protect you Elena. I'll play my part aslong as everyone else plays there." Caroline said. A moment later Caroline said cheerfully "Oh!" "I love it, we should go this Saturday definatly! You know I can't resist a good shopping trip." Elena laughed about her friends enthusiasm. But she nodded in agreement and answered then "Sure, the sooner the better!" "I need to take a break from my life for a day or so and there are no persons I would rather spent this day with, then my two best friends!" smiling back happily at Caroline. Back in time, Elena had been as addicted to shopping as Caroline was. She had always been looking for the news trends and the best outfits. In the past, Elena had paid a lot more attention to her look, because she had wanted to impress everyone around her with her beauty. Now, she still was trying to look nice, but she was no longer caring what people thought about her look. Sure, she still did love shopping, but she simply had no time for it anymore, since this whole vampire stuff had started.
Caroline shrugged and said "I suppose now I have to live by the philsophy that everything happends for a reason, and that it will all turn out happy." "If it isn't happy, then it isn't the end. It's the only thing that gives me hope nowere days." Elena smiled at her friend warmly and said "Wow, I still can't believe how much you changed and just to let you know I mean this as a compliment!" A moment later Caroline added "It dosen't sound stupid. I guess you're glad it happend because you met Stefan out of it." Elena smiled happily as she thought about Stefan and nodded then at Caroline's statement. Before she said "Yeah, I guess that's the only reason, why I'm happy it happened, because I can't imagine to live one day without him anymore..." with a happy smile on her face. A moment later she added laughing "Oh my God, I sound like one of these people in a Tv show." "The old Elena, would never have said something like that..." "But it's still true now, I will never want anyone else, cause when I'm with him that's all I need..." she said still feeling happy. "And that's the reason, why I'm not gone give up when it comes to a fight with Katherine!" she said a moment later seriously again.
"I think I'll organize one soon, you know, when we have time. Just adding another relaxing day to our list of things to do." "I ought to buy a calender, writing down the dates we plan to attack or when my next squirel hunt should be." Caroline said thoughtfully. Elena suggested a moment later "Or maybe you should get yourself a diary, where you write all your thoughts down." winking at Caroline. It was after all no secret, that Elena was writing a diary. In the next moment, Caroline lifted her hand for a high five and Elena clapped her hand against Caroline's. Then Caroline said "We'll give her one heck of a fight." and Elena nodded in agreement. "The fact is though Elena, is this is how Kathrine plans on getting to you. She knows that you'll do anything to protect you're friends and more so you're family. But you can't show her its bothering you, not at all. Because she'll only try it all the more, you understand me?" "I bet she was like you in her human life, caring and lovable. But then after years of being alone, I guess it turns people." Caroline said. Elena sighed but nodded. Then she said "Your right, everyone keeps telling me, I should not show her that it is hurting me, but well I'm simply not good at it, I hate to see my family or friends suffering..." At Caroline's last words, Elena grimaced and said "I really don't want to look for any connection between me and her, we are different from each other and that's good!" looking at her friend seriously.

Carolines heart sank slightly. She felt so sorry for Elena.. The amout of weight that must be on shoulders was something she knew for a fact she couldn't cope with. Her uncle, who she recently found out was her father, was almost killed by her doppleganger. Then her mother ends up being a vampire, who is also an assest to per doppleganger. Her boyfriends a vampire, along with his brother. And to top it off she had a 1000+ old orginial after her, trying to break some frikken curse. Caroline knew she would of commited by now. Too much effort for a teenage girl, Elena was an inspiration to many people if she managed to pull out of this. Heck, even if she didn't she deserved award for trying. Despite how much she dwelled in envy of Elena, she wouldnt, couldn't sit back and watch her get trampled on. No way, she was her friend. And friends look out for each other. Then her thoughts travelled back to Damon, and her hate system kicked in again. Her mouth was going to start running like a train going off the tracks. "He's just a total dick, I hate him; I physically despise him. I swear, I mean I could never kill him myself but I might hire some freaky vampire killer to do just that. I mean, hes just a retarded cannianlbe who needs to be taught a lesson." She stopped, taking in a deep breath and closing her eyes. Caroline counted to 10 in her head, trying to recollect her calm posture and be the 'lady' she was. She sighed, falling back into the leather chair of the booth. "You know why hes like the way he is don't you?" Caroline questioned Elena, a quizzing look on her face as she looked her dead in the eye. "It's because hes alone. He has nobody in the world, and nobody wants him. After all, Katherines to blame. She made him think that she loved him, when infact she loved Stefan. Nobody actually cares for him. Its sad really, but Karma's a bitch I guess." A part of her wanted to feel sorry for Damon for a short moment, after all nobody really deserves to be alone forever. She snorted to herself, shaking the thought out of her head. He shouldn't of been a bitch in the first place to everyone, she thought.
"We all need a break." She exclaimed, dragging her words on as she did so. Caroline picked up her empty glass and waved it in the air, expressing her need for a refill. "This weekend, shopping trip. Definatly. No Stefan, No Damon, No Katherine." She said, making the fact she didn't want anything to do with the supernatural triple threat over her relaxation weekend. "Oh, and then maybe we could go to a spa, and get our nails done, and get messages..." She droaned on dreamily, placing her head into the palm of her hand, elbow rested on the wooden table. "And then a wild party after, so wild we think everything that we've been through is just one big paranormal universe we've accidently been shipped into." If only that sentence was true. Caroline would have nothing to worry about except competing with Elena, instead of trying to keep her best friend alive. She would still be with Matt, no problem there; but nothing was as easy when you're a vampire. With the thought of her ex, she pushed it into the back of her mind.
"Wow, I still can't believe how much you changed and just to let you know I mean this as a compliment!"
Caroline gave a weery smile. Had she changed that much since the incident in the hospital? Had she became a better person? Or was she still the same bubbly Caroline that everybody had always said she was. The gossip giver, the fashion adviser. She gave a small sigh. "As long is its for good, I guess. I don't want to have changed for the worse, like some people when they get turned." Obviously, it was as clear as crystal that she was refearing to Damon. The guy was a monster, literally, he showed no remorse for human life or anything. She broadened her lip at the fact Elena was oh so inlove with Stefan. It made her happy that the girl had some light at the end of the tunnel. Something to look for. Stefan was her knight in shining armour. "Oh love, what a feeling." Caroline said, mimicing a shakespear voice before letting out a small giggle. "You should be happy with Stefan, it will annoy Katherine." She smirked lightly, slightly laughing once more. "Oh the joy of annoying that woman.. I was about to call her a witch then but I can't exactly can I, you know, with Bonnie and what not." It was weird having a friend who was a witch, hell, it was weird the fact she was a vampire. This stuff only exsisted in Twilight and Harry Potter. Not anymore, the fiction had become non-fiction.

Elena thought in that moment, that she sound really selfish even to herself. All the time, she was worrying about her own problems. But she knew quite well, that others had more problems then her. Sure they maybe had not just found out that their supposed to be uncle was their real father and that their mother was a vampire or that they had a double, which tried to ruin their life or a who know how old vampire chasing after them to break some curse. No for sure, not many people had problems like that, but that did not mean their problems were less important, at least not to Elena. She remembered her girls night out with Bonnie and the open talk the two girls have had. Elena knew that it had always been more complicated for her and Caroline to be there for each other. Since there had been a lot of jealousy in the past. But Elena hoped that, now since they both had changed, they could be more open to each and become even closer friends. Maybe, she should have a girls night out with Caroline alone as well at some point, she thought.
When Caroline started to talk about Damon, Elena couldn't help but smile to herself. It was funny to her, that everyone seemed to get angry as soon as they thought of Damon. Sure Elena did understand, why they acted like this after all Damon could be annoying and he could be a jerk, but still Elena was also one of the few people, that knew that there was more to him then that. But she did not stop Caroline's rant about him "He's just a total dick, I hate him; I physically despise him. I swear, I mean I could never kill him myself but I might hire some freaky vampire killer to do just that. I mean, hes just a retarded cannianlbe who needs to be taught a lesson." "You know why hes like the way he is don't you?" "It's because hes alone. He has nobody in the world, and nobody wants him. After all, Katherines to blame. She made him think that she loved him, when infact she loved Stefan. Nobody actually cares for him. Its sad really, but Karma's a bitch I guess." Caroline ended her little speech.
Once Caroline was finished with her rant, Elena said "Caroline, you rather let not hear him that you want to kill him or he will try to kill you again I think..." with a crooked smile on her face. She added a moment later "Yes I know why he is like that and I think you are right with all the things you have said, but I have to say, even though he annoys me and he drives me insane at times, a part of me understands how he feels..." "See, how would you feel if you are always the second choice and how would you feel if the love of your life tells you that he or she never loved you at all, I think that I would go just as insane as he is..." Elena said with a small smile on her face. "But, the only point I think you are wrong about is the last one." "Cause there are people that care for him, Stefan cares for him in a way and I do as well care for him, well and Bonnie kind of does care for him as well..." Elena said grinning.
"We all need a break." "This weekend, shopping trip. Defiantly. No Stefan, No Damon, No Katherine." "Oh, and then maybe we could go to a spa, and get our nails done, and get messages..." "And then a wild party after, so wild we think everything that we've been through is just one big paranormal universe we've accidently been shipped into." Caroline said and dropped her head on the palm of her hand dreamily. Elena sighed yearningly and said then "That would be wonderful, a dream!" "I would love to do some shopping, I haven't done that in years it seems to me at least and spa sounds wonderful as well, just a day full of relaxing doing nothing, just laying around and getting spoiled, followed by a good Party in the evening, where we could forget about our problems and just have fun..." she said with a dreamy expression on her face. Then she looked at Caroline with a smile on her face "I clear that with Stefan and Damon, that they will stay away from us this weekend and keep Katherine away from us and then we three plan our weekend, we can meet over at my house to plan everything, we are going to have fun this weekend!"
A moment later Caroline said "As long is its for good, I guess. I don't want to have changed for the worse, like some people when they get turned." Elena smiled at her and said truthfully "You really changed for the good, I think we never talked so openly in the past..." "I mean, there were always these things between us like boys or popularity..." When Caroline added giggling a moment later "Oh love, what a feeling." Elena couldn't help but giggle as well, she raised an eyebrow and looked at Caroline with a playful outraged expression, before she asked laughing "Caroline Forbes, are you making fun of me?" As Caroline said to her "You should be happy with Stefan, it will annoy Katherine." Elena said more serious again now "Yes I wish I could be happy with him, but you know whenever we try to be happy and forget about her, she does something bad to anyone I care about and forces us to be unhappy again!" "She wants him back and she is going to play unfair to reach her goal!" Elena sighed. "Oh the joy of annoying that woman.. I was about to call her a witch then but I can't exactly can I, you know, with Bonnie and what not." Caroline said. Elena laughed and said "Maybe we should call her...leech or something like that..." with an evil smile on her face.
