Despite staying at the Grill until closing time Caprice hadn't run into her father or her Uncle Stefan yet. She had to find them. She needed help. She really didn't want to go to the boarding house if she could help it. It would be so different to what she was used to. Well, okay, there wouldn't be her bedroom there or the photos of her with her extended family. That was about it, but it was significant enough. She knew it was a part of being in the past, but even so it would still hurt to go in there and not have a single reminder of her own exsistance. She had thought long and hard about the next obvious place to find her father and/or Uncle. She had decided the school was the next best place. After that it would be the woods, but that could take forever scouring every inch of that place. Sure, her father didn't come to school but her mother, aunts, and her Uncles Stefan and Jeremy did. It was the best place to go to track down the Salvatores. Caprice had considered just stalking the school during the morning and afternoon rush but she had decided she did not want to be taken to jail for seeming 'creepy'.
Unfortunately, it seemed she would have no choice but to enroll. Even a trip into the past couldn't get her out of school. She supposed her parents would be amused by that. Inhaling a deep breath the unique ice blue eyed caramel beauty walked towards the school with a single purpose. As much as Caprice hoped to be invisable she knew with her genetics it would be impossible. Her father and mother were stunning, and Caprice had inherited that. Also, it didn't help she had her mother's skin tone, and her father's eye catching eyes. She had never had any say in the matter. She would always be noticed even if she wasn't half vampire and half witch. She did her best to ignore the stares and whispers as she made her way through the crowd of students that were gathering in the car park. The bell hadn't rung yet to signal the beginning of class. Caprice had timed this perfectly. Fortunately with two supernatural species in her DNA it was easy for her to sense other supernaturals. She had already detected a werewolf, unactivated, in Tyler Lockwood. So far she hadn't found her mother or Stefan yet.
She strolled right up to the recepionist's desk. Caprice let out a cough to gain the recepionist's attention before getting to work. She held the woman's gaze, and using her compulsion - which she gained from her father - she instructed the woman she was enrolled and to get her a class schedule as she handed over the faked documents she needed to the woman. Magic and compulsion was definately a useful combination. Everyone upon looking at the fake documents would believe they were real and legal thanks to the magic she had used. Yes, she knew technically it was for personal gain, but it was necessary. She had already promised mother earth she would do something selfless in return to make up for it. She really did not need having bad karma on her tail. She had come here specifically to stop whoever it was that wanted to change the past for the worse. She just hoped nothing had been changed already. So far she couldn't see anything different to what she had been told of her family's past. Fortunately, and luckily.
With her class schedule in hand she gave it the once over before wandering out into one of the many halls of the school. There was so many people. Most she did not recognise. However she soon spotted someone she did. Elena. Her mother's best friend and honourary Aunt. Perfect. Elena should be with Stefan, and so should know exactly where her Uncle is. Smiling, Caprice made her way through the crowd not even noticing how the students just seemed to part from her. Briefly, Caprice was glad she was shorter then her dad. She liked being of average height since nothing else was clearly average about her. Approaching Elena she gave what she hoped was a disarming smile. Knowing her luck though she probably had one of her dad's infamous smirks on her lips. She really did take after her parents a lot. Most of the time she couldn't complain but it really would not help her in trying not to be found out here. Why did her parents think she would blend in here? God only knows. Forcing her thoughts back to the job at hand she spoke up.
"Hey, I'm Caprice. You must be Elena. Everyone says you were a fantastic cheerleader. I've watched you a couple of times at the games."
That sounded plausible, right?

It seemed like a far to short night, when Elena's alarm clock rang early in the morning. Moaning lightly, she reached over to her clock and turned it off. Before she buried herself under her blanket again for a short moment. Today, was one of these mornings on which Elena would have loved to stay in bed, but she knew she had to go to school. So she pushed back her blanket a moment later and sat up in her bed. Still feeling tired, she pushed one strand of long, dark brown, smooth hair out of her face. Elena closed her eyes again, enjoying the silence around her for a moment. Before she finally stood up and walked over to her closet. Looking through her closet, she searched for something to wear today. At first she took some white underwear, which fitted every outfit, before she looked for the rest of her todays outfit. That was when she discovered a white top and one of her favorite sweatshirts, which had a nice turquoise color. In the next moment, she grabbed a pair of blue jeans, which matched her other clothes really well. As she was about to go into the bathroom, she saw a one of her necklaces, which was matching her todays outfit as well.
Then Elena went into the bathroom and showered herself, followed by drying herself, brushing her teeth, drying her hair and putting on her underwear. Her hair was falling smooth down her back, like always. In the next moment Elena put on some make-up, but only so much that it still looked natural. After that Elena went back into her room putting on the pair of jeans, the white top, the turquoise sweatshirt and her matching necklace. As she now threw a quick glance into the mirror above one of her dressers, she was satisfied with her look. Elena thought she looked really nice right now, even though she still felt tired. In the past, before her parents had died, Elena had paid a lot more attention to what she looked like and what she was wearing, because she had wanted to impress everyone around her, especially guys. But when her parents had died everything had changed. Sure, she still was trying to look nice, but she did not care so much anymore, what others thought about her. The only person for which, she wanted to look good, where her family, her friends and for sure Stefan.
Another glance at her clock, showed her that she still had a lot of time left, before she had to go to school. So she walked over to her shelf and pulled her diary out of it's hiding place. Then Elena walked over to her window sill and sat down on it. It was her favorite place to sit down and write her diary. Once she had written everything she could think of right now into it, she closed her diary and fast put it back into it's hiding place. Yawning lightly, she grabbed her school bag. Before she went downstairs, Elena checked, if she had everything she needed for today. Then she made her way to her rooms door. Elena walked silently through the hallway in front of her room, because she wasn't sure if Jeremy was already awake. Silently she sneaked down the stairs and walked into the kitchen. Elena had expected to meet Jenna there, but it seemed that she was either still asleep or already gone. So Elena walked over to the coffee machine and made herself a cup of coffee. She was sure that once, she had drunk it, she would feel more awake. Another glance on the clock on the wall told her, that she had to hurry now. So she put her empty cup into the dishwasher, grabbed her bag and her jacket and left. Outside the house, she pulled out her car keys and got into her car. She turned on the engine and the car came to life. Then Elena turned on the radio and drove out of her parking space.
On her way to school, she silently sang along some of the songs, which where playing in the radio. Watching the streets around her becoming blurry, because of the speed of her car. She did not slow her car down, until she reached the school. There she started to look for a parking space. When she finally found one, she drove her car into it and turned the engine off. Fast Elena got out of her car and locked it. Looking around herself, she noticed disappointed that Stefan wasn't there to wish her a good morning. But she fast pushed that thought away, after all she couldn't ask him to be there for her every single second of the day. Then Elena thought to herself, that she would see him later and that made her mood become better. Fast she walked over to the school building, after all she had to get some books from her locker, before her school day started. As she walked into the school building, the halls were crowded with students. Some were trying to get to class, others were still talking to friends, while others got their things for the lessons. Only slowly Elena moved through the crowds until she reached her locker. She opened it and got her books. Before she closed it again, she threw a quick glance in a small mirror inside of her locker. Putting a few strands of hair back were they belonged. In the moment, she closed her locker, she suddenly heard a voice coming from behind her.
So Elena turned around to look at the person speaking to her. Elena felt a shock running through her body as she saw the girl. She was definitely beautiful, she noticed. But that was not what, had shocked her so much. It was rather the fact, that this girl looked so familiar to her. She had long black wavy hair and a caramel colored skin, what reminded her of her best friend. But what shocked her the most where those beautiful piercing blue eyes and the expression on the girls face, which reminded her a lot of Damon. "Hey, I'm Caprice. You must be Elena. Everyone says you were a fantastic cheerleader. I've watched you a couple of times at the games." the girl said to her. Still Elena was staring at this girl, that seemed so familiar to her, before she noticed that she had not answered to the girl, what was really rude. "Hey, nice to meet you Caprice" "Sorry for staring at you, it's just that feeling of knowing you, crazy what?" Elena finally managed to say laughing lightly about herself after a short shock second. Then she added smiling lightly "Well, I used to be a cheerleader, not a really good as well I think, so now I'm rather an ex-cheerleader." For a moment she wasn't sure what to say to this girl, but then she asked "So you are new to our school, aren't you?" After all Elena had never seen this girl before and she was sure she would have noticed such a beautiful girl around here.

The staring could not be good. The expression on Elena's face didn't help either. Caprice wished there was a way to communicate with her parents in the future. She would gladly love to tell them 'I told you it wasn't a good idea to send me'. How did they expect for her to not be noticed? Especially once she ran into her father and uncle. If they didn't notice the physical similarities they would know she was human just by her aura and scent. Yet, here she was trying very hard just to appear normal. Yeah, as if normal was ever going to be something she could have in her life. Perhaps it would be best to just come clean. Well, she would just tell Elena, Stefan, and Damon, she was a friend, a witch, along with the fact she needed their help to get rid of this new enemy. She wouldn't tell them anything else, although right now Caprice was doubting the ability of them not figuring anything else out. Stefan was just as observant as Elena. He would clearly notice her eyes were just like Damon's. She was definately screwed, and yet here she was, doing her best to not be discovered. Perhaps she should have gotten contacts and dyed her hair.
"You would be surprised how much I hear that."
Caprice responded with a laugh, although it was slightly half hearted. Technically, she had heard that before. The supernatural enemies hadn't stopped coming after Klaus was gone or when she was born. They kept coming. Evil never died. So when they ran into her they always got the feeling she was familiar although they never knew why until it was too late for them. It was definately amusing in her time to watch them guess. Right now though she was definately going to have to work harder at making sure no one found out. She was most worried about her mother finding out though. With the pair of them being a witch, there was no doubt a lot of spells her mother could do to find out exactly who she was. As much as she hated it, Caprice knew she should probably steer clear of Bonnie, and when she found the Salvatore brothers somehow convince them they didn't need to bother with Bonnie in any way. I'm a teenager for crying out loud! I shouldn't have this much pressure on me. Caprice thought, trying hard to keep it together.
"Its a shame you gave it up. You were really good. Inspiring, even."
She spoke softly, constantly trying to find ways to not only gain Elena's trust but find a way to talk about where Stefan was. Unfortunately the only idea she could come up with was just telling her she was a supernatural friend that needed to get in touch with the Salvatore brothers. For some reason Caprice could not see that going well. Unfortunately she really didn't seem to have another option. That is unless she wanted to wait months for Elena to open up to her about vampires and such. Caprice knew she didn't have that much time. She had to find this time traveller as soon as possible. She had to make sure nothing was changed. Her exsistance could depend on it. She bit down on her bottom lip briefly in thought before finally coming to a decision. She reached out with a hand and touched it to Elena's arm. Caprice did consider using compulsion but since in this time she was with Stefan, she knew she probably had vervain on her.
"Look, I should probably just cut to the chase. I'm a friend of yours and the Salvatores. I know what they are, and I need to find them. I need to talk to them. Honestly, I need their help. I know you are dating Stefan, and since I can't find him or my f- ... or Damon so far, I was hoping you could get me in contact with Stefan. I mean no harm, I swear."
Caprice could have used Damon's manipulative, and intelligent mind right now to have formed some other plan. Sure, she could be like that in rare moments, but most of the time she was like her mother. She preferred to go the most logical and less violent as well as complex way. Besides that, she just didn't have the time to mess about. That, and she knew her father would see through any charade she tried to conjure up. She was actually dreading running into her father in this time. He may not be with her mother yet, but that didn't mean he was any less clever. He would know she was hiding something, and with his obsessive personality she knew he wouldn't give up until he found out exactly what she was hiding. That is if Elena didn't find out first.
"I suppose you could say I'm... special, like your friend Bonnie. Although I would prefer if you didn't mention any of this to her. I really just want to keep it between me, you, Stefan, and Damon. The less involved the better. Its a very sensitive matter."
Caprice knew the next thing she would have to do was come up with a logical story to tell them. She knew she would have to tell them about time travel, since the person she had to get rid of had travelled in time, but how to explain herself? She supposed she could always say she had a vision. Yes, that would make sense, and she came here to Mystic Falls to warn them all. That would do until they saw through that particular lie. Her attention left Elena's face as she glanced over her shoulder. She had sensed something supernatural but the second she turned it seemed to be gone. This could definately get dangerous. All the humans around her was starting to get to her though. She should have fed after the spell. She hadn't expected to take such a toll. She had eaten food and drank alchol, but it seemed right now she was itching for blood. Caprice knew she couldn't reveal this however especially if she was going with the story she was just a witch. She had to keep control. She returned her bright blue eyes to Elena's face. Right now she just wanted to throw herself into her aunt's arms. She kept herself restrained though. She could not show familiarity or affection like that. It would definately arise suspicion.

As Elena had gotten up this morning, she had thought this was going to be a normal day, not different from any other day. But right now she wasn't to sure about it anymore. After all she had just run into this strange unknown and at the same time familiar girl. Also this girl seemed to know a lot about her, even though they clearly had never met before. She was sure, she would remember such a face. Elena tried to think of an answer to all of that, but there was no logical answer. The only thing that made sense here was, that something supernatural was going on. Deep inside herself, Elena pleaded that there was not something supernatural going on, because she had already enough trouble with all the vampires that were trying to kill her, the Salvatore's and everyone else she loved. On the other hand, she slowly got used to all of this. After all she had already dealt with the fact, that her boyfriend was a vampire and that her best friend was a witch and that she had an evil vampire double. Also she had learned that there were vampires out there who wanted her death. So what difference would one more supernatural problem make, she asked herself. Before she thought of an answer in the next moment, it would make no difference at all. But Elena wouldn't be the one to speak about supernatural things first, she would wait and see if her guess was right.
A moment later Caprice said to Elena laughing lightly "You would be surprised how much I hear that." Surprised Elena raised an eyebrow. She couldn't imagine, that people thought of such a girl as familiar. Most people would probably be discouraged, in a positive way for sure, when they saw such a girl. Again Elena watched Caprice more carefully and again she couldn't help but think of Damon as she looked into the girls piercing blue eyes. Also she couldn't help and think about Bonnie as she saw the long black waves, which were falling down Caprices back. As Caprice said to her a moment later "Its a shame you gave it up. You were really good. Inspiring, even." Elena gave her a smile and said then "Thank you nice to hear that at least some people liked what I did." "But my well what's the saying, when one door closes another one opens?" she added a moment later smiling. It was true Elena was no cheerleader anymore, sure it had been important to her back in time. But now other things were important to her. It was simply like that, that people changed. Elena had changed a lot, she knew that. She had loved the cheerleading back in time, but when her parents had died, it all suddenly had seemed so unimportant and she had no longer practiced and no longer it had made fun to her. So giving up the cheerleading, had been the right decision for her. No matter what everyone else thought about that.
Caprice seemed nervous, Elena noticed. She made the impression as if she did not know what to say or do next. What even more made Elena want to find out what was going on with her. She knew that this was probably not one of her best traits, but she simply couldn't help it. She was after all not perfect, she was just human. That was the moment when Caprice suddenly put her hand on Elena's arm and said "Look, I should probably just cut to the chase. I'm a friend of yours and the Salvatore's. I know what they are, and I need to find them. I need to talk to them. Honestly, I need their help. I know you are dating Stefan, and since I can't find him or my f- ... or Damon so far, I was hoping you could get me in contact with Stefan. I mean no harm, I swear." As Caprice spoke Elena felt a cold shock running down her spine and she was sure her face, showed the same shocked expression. There was no way she could trust this girl, after all she had just met her a moment ago. Even if Caprice really knew what Stefan and Damon were and even if she promised that she meant no harm to them, Elena couldn't be sure that it was not just a trick to get one of them. When it came to Stefan and Damon getting hurt, Elena always became really careful. She cared for both of them and did not want that one of them got hurt. So she was not sure what to answer to Caprice in that moment. But then Elena took a deep breath and tried to calm herself, she needed to think all this through and make a logical and good decision. She was not stupid after all, she would not put Stefan or Damon in any risk, that could be avoided.
So she said a moment later silently "See I really want to believe you, I mean I believe you when you say you know what Stefan and Damon are, but how can I be sure you do not want to harm them?" a moment later she added "And how can I know, you don't belong to one of our enemies, there is no way to be sure." "See we all have enough trouble and danger going on right now, so I hope you understand that I became careful when it comes to trusting someone or taking them to Stefan or Damon." she said looking at Caprice seriously. That was the moment, when Elena thought, that once again her senses had not fooled her, she had been right with her guess about supernatural. Sure Elena would have been happy to just have found a new person, who would help them in their fight, but at first Caprice would have to show that she really meant what she said. Also Elena would be talking to Stefan and Damon about it later. They needed to know what was going on and they needed to make a plan about how to react, Elena thought.
"I suppose you could say I'm... special, like your friend Bonnie. Although I would prefer if you didn't mention any of this to her. I really just want to keep it between me, you, Stefan, and Damon. The less involved the better. Its a very sensitive matter." Caprice explained a moment later. Again Elena couldn't help but look skeptically at Caprice. "Why shouldn't we tell Bonnie?" she asked a moment later and added "I mean if you say you are just like her, then you should know she is probably the best person to judge that." looking at Caprice quizzically. She really don't wanted to make problems, but Caprice on the other hand, had to understand her. In the last time, they all had went through so much, that they all had learned that trust was something that needed to be gained. Elena looked around herself, watching how the hall slowly got empty. Most people seemed to go to their lessons now and Elena was sure, she should be at lesson already as well. But a part of her knew, she had to stay here and listen to Caprice. For sure it was dangerous to stay alone out here with someone she did not know, but what other choice did she have, she asked herself. Elena watched how Caprice looked around herself seeming a bit hectic. But then she turned her attention back to Elena, who was still waiting on some answers from Caprice.

It would definately be far easier if she could use compulsion on her Aunt. Unfortunately she was dating Stefan, and so Caprice knew she would be protected with vervain. Caprice put a hand into her hair, tugging at the waves out of fustration and nerves. Elena's responses were not what she wanted to hear but she couldn't blame Elena. Why should she be trusted? They didn't know her here. What could she say or do to prove she could be trusted? The only thing she could think of was the whole truth, but she wasn't sure she could risk that. Even if she did only tell Elena. She pursed her lips in thought, subconciously looking Elena over as she tried to think of something to make Elena believe she was not a threat. What was a witch's weakness? Well, the main one she could think of was the fact if you did too much magic at one go the body would suffer. She couldn't really use that to get Elena's confidence. She knew one thing though that might work. She just had to hope Elena wouldn't tell anyone.
"Okay, I can tell you one thing, and hope it'll make you believe I am no threat. You have to promise me though you won't tell another soul. If anyone found out I exsisted... Well, it would be dangerous. Okay? I trust you, Elena. I'm... I'm not just a witch. I'm half witch. I'm... I'm half vampire too."
Caprice finally blurted out, although she said it quietly so only Elena could hear. There were no supernatural ears about so Caprice did feel assured no one else had heard. She had to get Elena's trust. She had to get in contact with her uncle and father. When she saw her father she also had to resist the urge to run up to him and call him daddy. Yep, that would not work out so good. Especially if he decided 'daddy' was a sexual term, and that would not be good. That would be down right disgusting. Hell, she really did hope no one hit on her in this town. It was definately the last thing she needed. Caprice, as she watched Elena for her reaction, could not help but wonder if maybe she should have just told her she was from the future instead of what she was. She couldn't correct it now. She had already said to much.
"Please, if that doesn't earn your trust tell me what will. I'll do anything. I just... I haven't got much time. I really need to talk to them. I need their expertise. They over a century old. I'm only eighteen. I wish I could tell you everything, I do Lena, but there is some - most - I can't tell. I want to, but I can't. I really do need your trust, as well as Stefan and Damon's. I can't do this alone."
Caprice ended up pleading. She hated pleading. Loathed it. Right now she had no choice. Her hair was left down as the waves of black fell down to her waist. She wore a classic black leather jacket, the same trademark as her father, with skin tight faded black jeans that looked like they had been painted on along with a skin tight white short sleeved t-shirt that although plain definately helped with the sexy attire Caprice was wearing. It also helped she was wearing a red choker with red 'sex kitten' heels. Perhaps she hadn't dressed to blend in, but the spell to travel in time had been sprung on her, and this is what she had been wearing. Which reminded her, she did need to find clothes and a place to stay. Perhaps she could give Jenna a visit and compell her to invite her to stay. She didn't like to compell family but right now Caprice knew she didn't have the luxury of time. She had to get things done, and fast. After all the time traveller wasn't going to waste time getting hammered. No, this time traveller had a purpose, and Caprice had to stop him asap.
"Its hard to explain... Bonnie... She's a witch. We can sense others... There are also spells... She can easily find out everything about me with the right spells. She could even have a vision if she touches me. I can't have everything revealed, and she would do that whether it was her intention or not. I can't... I can't... Its hard to explain. I am not a bad person. I swear. We just have to leave Bonnie out of this one. Its only to protect you guys."
Caprice insisted as she tried so hard to reassure Elena without letting the entire cat out of the bag. Surely her parents should have done some sort of time travelling lessons before they decided on this plan? Caprice wished they had, or maybe they had and she hadn't been listening? God, why did she have to be so much like her father? She should have paid attention instead of tuning them all out. If or when she got home she was definately going to work harder to pay attention more. Glancing around Caprice noticed everyone was getting to their first lesson. Damn it. I can't ruin her studies. She thought, frowning. Returning her gaze to Elena she entwined their fingers before tugging at her hand to usher her along. Fortunately she had the first class with Elena so they wouldn't have to split up. If she was at home she would just skip the day, regardless of the lecture from her parents afterwards, but this was the past and she couldn't screw it up any more then she had.
"Come on, we're gonna be late for class. I'd skip it but you definately need to study."
She spoke with a mischevious grin upon her lips and a mischevious twinkle in her ice blue eyes. Once Caprice had gotten to the class room she opened the door and headed for the teacher's desk. Hopefully, before Elena saw, Caprice compelled the teacher to not give either of them a detention for being late. Once that was done Caprice relaxed a little before looking around the room. Damn it. All eyes on me. The one time I don't want the spotlight. She sighed internally. Shaking her head with a similiar amused smirk to her father's she headed to the back where there was a spare table for them both. Caprice knew if she wanted to get to the Salvatores she would have to get Elena on her side first, therefore it was going to be shadow Elena day. Caprice just hoped Elena wouldn't mind and all this didn't backfire on her. Of course her luck wasn't going good so far so she just had to hope it turned around for her.
Caprice glanced at the teacher briefly as he began to drone on about something. She knew she should pay attention, but then again this wasn't her class. That and she had other things to think about. Feeling a pair of eyes on her Caprice glanced to the other side of the room to see Tyler Lockwood checking her out. This was definately not going to be a fun trip. That was for sure.

Elena still felt unsure about Caprice, for sure it was a good thing that Caprice had told her that she was a witch. That was something that made her seem trustful, but still Elena couldn't turn off the uneasy feeling inside of her. Her mind was working really hard and fast, trying to put all the pieces of Caprices story together. But still it all made no sense. Why should a witch, that had nothing to do with this town, come here and ask for the help of the Salvatores, she asked herself. It frustrated Elena, that she found no answers to all her questions. She knew the only person that could answer her questions was Caprice, but for some reason, she was really careful when it came to telling things. Elena just wished that she could know more about this girl and that she could know if she could trust her. But there was no way for her, after all she was not a witch or a vampire. She had no supernatural senses. Elena was just a human thrown into all this crazy stuff, she had to deal with now. Many bad things had happened since she had discovered this completely new world and so she had become really careful and she had become even more suspicious when she got to know new people, then she had already been before all of this had started.
I'm... I'm half vampire too." Caprice finally told her. Elena was sure her eyes became really big as she heard it. But she was immediately trying to get a hold on herself. She hesitated a moment, before she asked "A half witch, half vampire?" "Is something like that even possible?" Elena thought, she still remembered a talk with Damon in which he had told her, that vampires could have no children. But on the other hand, since when did she trust in everything Damon said, she asked herself. A moment later she said "And sure, I promise I will keep your secret!" and added a moment later "But I guess if you talk to Stefan and Damon, you will have to tell them your secret as well, cause I think they won't believe otherwise." still Elena felt unsure, what she should do. One side of her told her, she should get over herself and help Caprice, while her other side told her she had to be careful and that she could trust no one.
She was torn out of her thoughts, when Caprice pleaded to her "Please, if that doesn't earn your trust tell me what will. I can't do this alone." In the moment Caprice had finished talking. Something she had said caught Elena's attention. So she said a moment later "You just called me Lena, only my friends normally call me like that, how did you know it was my nickname?" and added sighing lightly "I think you can't do anymore then you did already, I'm going to talk to Stefan and Damon later and ask them if they want to speak to you." "But I can't promise you anything." she said seriously to Caprice. A part of Elena now also felt compassion for Caprice, cause if she was really only eighteen years old and was given such an important task, it was clear that she was looking for help. For a moment Elena wondered, who would give a eighteen year old teenager such a dangerous and important task. But on the other hand, that was not her thing to worry about. But maybe helping Caprice wouldn't be so bad, she thought.
Its only to protect you guys." Caprice answered her next question. Elena nodded thoughtfully. Then she said "Alright, I believe you so far..." and added "Also I don't want to get Bonnie into more trouble then she is already." In the next moment she asked "And what is it you want to protect us from?" After she had asked her question, she wasn't so sure anymore, if she wanted to hear the answer. From what Caprice had said after all, this all sounded only after more trouble for everyone and that was the last thing they needed right now. But Elena prepared herself to hear, what she needed to hear. She was pretty sure there were not much things that could shock her anymore. After all the things, she had gone through already.
"Come on, we're gonna be late for class. I'd skip it but you definitely need to study." Caprice told her and then pulled Elena along with her to the class room. They walked into the room and Elena was sure, she was going to hear something about detention, because of being late, but nothing happened. As they walked through the room, Elena felt many eyes on her and Caprice. It was no surprise to her, that most people noticed Caprice, after all she was exceptionally beautiful. Elena just walked over to an empty table and sat down. Caprice followed her and sat down beside her. At first Elena wasn't sure what to think about it, but on the other hand, that was she could get to know Caprice some better and that way, maybe Caprice could fully prove that she was one of the good people. Elena pulled her notebook and her book out of her bag and put it on the table. Even though she had not the intention to pay much attention to the lesson today. After all Elena had still a secret beside her that needed to be figured out.

"Considering I exsist, yes. As a rule vampires cannot reproduce but when you get a mighty strong witch, and she ends up shacking up with a mighty strong and old vampire... Well, her magic, when at her emotional peak during... well you know, ignites one rare moment where the two can concieve. So far, my parents have been the only ones who have managed it. After all, witches and vampires don't get along, so why would anyone even consider something like me could exsist?"
Caprice responded, hoping to god she didn't have to say much more. It was already a risk telling Elena so much. Especially when it came to explaining how she could exsist. A strong witch and old strong vampire... She really was going to screw this all up. Caprice could already tell. Sure, she had kept secrets from her family before, but this wasn't just a secret, and it was pretty hard to gain a person's trust whilst keeping secrets. She should probably take a leaf out of her father's book and just end up saving someone Elena, Stefan, or Damon cared for. That had in the past landed Damon into the 'trusted' category. All she had to do was wait until something happened. Caprice just had to figure out when the next big danger was. Either that or figure out a way to have a minor accident happen to someone and save them herself. She supposed compulsion could work. Who could she compell though?
"Knowing those two I probably won't have to say a word."
Caprice murmurred as she began twirling a pencil around between her fingers. Yep. She was pretty sure the second they saw her and noticed her eyes they would pretty much do whatever she asked of them. Stefan and Damon would notice her eyes were pretty much replicas of Damon's. She definately needed to get contacts. That, and compell Elena into thinking she had different coloured eyes. She just had to get the necklace full of vervain off her neck first. Either that, or just risk it all. At least she would never comfirm if they got any suspicions. She would just deny, but she knew if anyone could figure it out it was probably Stefan. Damon would probably be in denial. She definately had to stay away from Bonnie. Perhaps it would be wise to make herself invisable in some way to Bonnie. She hated to use magic on her mother but she had to protect herself as well as the timeline.
Caprice's eyes widened when Elena mentioned she had called her Lena. Oh crap! See, this is why my parents should have come. Caprice was totally unprepared for being in the past. She didn't know why her parents had such faith in her. At least she hadn't seen either of them yet. They wouldn't know yet how much she was screwing up. She had to come up with a suitable excuse. How did she know to call her Lena? Woman's intuition? No, that sounded flimsy even to her. She raked a hand through her ebony curls as she tried not to let anyone in the class notice anything wrong. In the end Caprice knew she could only say one thing. Returning her gaze to Elena she spoke softly.
"I would say I overheard someone else call you it, but you would know I'm lying, so all I can say is I can't tell you. At least you know only your friends call you it, and I am honestly a friend."
The blue eyed witch nodded in acknowledgement as Elena said she would speak to Stefan and Damon. Hopefully this would work out. She knew the Salvatores would at least be curious as to who would want their help, and especially knew who they were as well as Elena and Bonnie. They would at least come to investigate. She would have to keep an eye out for a crow. She knew her father rather enjoyed being in that form to spy on others. She knew though most of the time she could sense him before she saw him. It was like a sixth sense for witches. Her mother had actually had it. It was the first thing that awoke in Bonnie when it came to being a witch. Caprice remembered her mother telling her she had felt darkness come from Stefan and Damon upon seeing them for the first time. That, and when she touched them she could sense death. It was pretty much the same for Caprice. It took a while for Caprice to realise the teacher was talking to her. Frowning she glanced up as the teacher mentioned introducing herself. Oh, fun(!) Not. Sighing deeply she spoke up.
"I'm Caprice Vittoria. Lived in Mystic Falls my whole life, although I was private tutored until now. Only child. Thats pretty much it."
When her teacher mentioned her name was Italian, Caprice really wanted to drain the teacher dry. Being invisable plan was not going well, clearly.
"Yes, it is italian."
She responded, not wanting to mention who of her parents were italian. After all the Salvatores had come from Italy, and could speak it fluently. Damon hadn't wasted time in teaching it to his little girl. The teacher kept pressing though, asking if she was from italy. Would it really be that bad if she drained the teacher dry?
"I'm not from italy. One of my parents was."
She spoke firmly, staring deeply into the teacher's eyes. She hadn't compelled someone from across the room but right now she had no choice. She put her voice clearly into the teacher's head. You won't ask any more questions about me and get on with the class. Caprice told her firmly, mentally, and with Caprice's relief the teacher went on with the class. She would definately have to brag about that to her family when she got back. She couldn't help but have a smug smirk on her lips. I'm so good. Dad is going to be so jealous. She thought with satisfaction. Returning her gaze to Elena she then answered Elena's last question.
"Too much knowledge, sometimes, is a bad thing Lena. If I told you too much... Well, it would not be a good thing. I have to protect you, and everyones lives here, which means not saying everything. Just think of Adam and Eve. They lived in Eden blissfully, unaware of the evils of the world. They were safe. Protected. When the snake convinced them to eat from the tree of knowledge, they were kicked out of Eden with nothing, and thrown into the evils of the world. They suffered. Everything in their lives changed, and not for the better. Sure, there were some perks, but if you knew Eden, the cons would out weigh the lives they had before hand. They had no risk before they ate from the tree of knowledge."
Yep, she knew it was a stupid story to tell and to match to the situation but it was the first thing that sprung to Caprice's mind. Why? She had no idea. It wasn't as if she believed in religion anyway. God, I could use a glass of scotch right about now. Perhaps she could sneak into the Salvatore Boarding House and 'borrow' Damon's stash of scotch. He may miss it, but it wasn't as if he couldn't buy any more.

After all, witches and vampires don't get along, so why would anyone even consider something like me could exsist?" Caprice told her. Elena nodded thoughtfully. In a way it made sense to her what Caprice told her. After all Vampires and Witches were normally enemies, so no one would think about a relationship between a witch and a vampire. For a moment that made Elena think of the future. She was not sure, what her future was going to be like, but one thing was sure for her, she was going to be with Stefan no matter what happened. Sure when Elena had thought of the future in earlier times, she had imagined to have a nice, big house, a loving husband and a beautiful little child. But now her imagination of that was changed. Right now, when she thought, of the future, she thought, she would already be happy, if she was alive and had a caring husband on her side. That was more then she could ask for right now.
A moment later she told Caprice "This story sounds kind of crazy, but well my life is just as crazy as well right now, so I believe in what you say, it makes sense in a way..." Elena heard how Caprice murmuring to herself silently "Knowing those two I probably won't have to say a word." At that words, a small smile appeared on Elena's face, she knew exactly what Caprice meant. But more and more that all sounded strange to her. After all Caprice had asked her to introduce her to Stefan and Damon. But the way, she was speaking about them sounded as if she did know them pretty well. So Elena asked a moment later silently, so that only Caprice could hear her "You sound, as if you know a lot about Damon and Stefan already, but I thought you never met them before, so how is that possible?" Then she looked at the other girl quizzically. If Caprice really wanted to show that she could be trust, she had to tell some of her secrets. Also Elena knew herself pretty well, she knew she was going to try to find out more about this girl, even if it was dangerous. After all, that way she had found out what Stefan's secret was. That was why she thought finding out things about overs and listen carefully belonged to her strengths.
When Caprice answered her next question, she again tried to avoid to say too much. "I would say I overheard someone else call you it, but you would know I'm lying, so all I can say is I can't tell you. At least you know only your friends call you it, and I am honestly a friend." Elena nodded slowly, it was true only her family or friends called her that way, so if Caprice was not a friend she wouldn't know that, she thought. But again Elena couldn't help the uncertainty, she felt inside herself. After all if one of her enemies was doing his or her homework good, then he or she could find out such things about her easily. For a moment Elena turned her attention back to her teacher, who was writing some things on the board. He seemed busy and he seemed not to have noticed what was going on in the last rows, where she and Caprice were sitting. Elena started to copy, what was written on the board, not that she had much interest in the lesson right now, but still while she waited for Caprices next answers, she could do something useful by copying these things from the board.
Elena just looked up when she heard the teacher mentioning Caprice. Then she heard how he asked her to introduce herself. Next to her Caprice sighed before she finally said "I'm Caprice Vittoria. Lived in Mystic Falls my whole life, although I was private tutored until now. Only child. Thats pretty much it." A moment later the teacher asked her if it was an Italian name and Caprice replied "Yes, it is Italian." "I'm not from Italy. One of my parents was." Surprised about herself Elena, wondered why she had noticed before that Caprices name was Italian. Maybe that was why she knew Stefan and Damon. After all they came from Italy as well or at least their ancestors did. Not that Stefan and Damon were really Italian sounding names, but still the name Salvatore was Italian. So Elena asked her silently a moment later "So is this how you know Stefan and Damon?" "I mean, I know they do not come from Italy, but their ancestors do, so does your family have to do something with them?" looking at Caprice curiously. Now Elena was interested and she was going to listen carefully to what Caprice told her. After all it was important that Elena found a connection between the Salvatores and Caprice.
She was torn out of her thoughts, when Caprice said to her "Too much knowledge, sometimes, is a bad thing Lena. They had no risk before they ate from the tree of knowledge." Elena thought about Caprices words, but still she couldn't help it, she wanted to know more. So she said a moment later "I understand what you want to say with that story, but still if you want my trust you have to tell me more." "I mean, I learned that lesson by heart, what you don't know can hurt you, so I need to know more." she sighed and added "I even believe that you want to protect us and I believe that you might be limited when it comes to what you can tell me, but still, you have to understand that I will not put people I care about into to much risk." "Cause I can't, I just really can't lose anymore people I care about." she said and looked at Caprice seriously, hoping that these still unknown girl did understand her.

Post by CAPRICE VITTORIA SALVATORE on Apr 22, 2011 19:16:15 GMT
Crap. She was Damon's daughter for christ sakes! Why wasn't she better at avoiding the truth then this? How was she supposed to explain how she sounded like she knew the Salvatores already? She really had to get better at this. Either that or better at lieing. She really didn't want to lie to Elena. In the future she could tell Elena anything. Especially when it came to boys. After all, Caprice wasn't exactly a good girl. She was in the rebelling stage of her life right now. The leather jacket, drinking alcohol - especially when she was out, and flirting with a different guy every night. She had even made out with a lot of them at the house when her parents were out. Sometimes she had even been caught. Her father got so possessive. Half of the time she did it just to rub her father the wrong way. He was so funny when his overprotective father side flared up, and honestly, she loved their firey fights as much as her mother had ended up enjoying them with him. What can she say? With both Damon and Bonnie in her DNA she was always destined to be a passionate person from the moment she was conceived. Everyone in her family knew this.
"I've heard a lot about them."
Caprice lied, doing her best to immitate her father's nonchalant expression he often did when he was trying to avoid the truth. Caprice quickly glanced around the classroom, noticing no one was looking, and then used her vampire speed in only her hand to copy the writing from the board in record timing. With the work done, not that she needed to do it, she could relax a little more. The last thing she needed was detention. Her parents would find out even if she didn't tell them. After all, this was the past. Stefan would find out in this time and remember in the future before passing it on to her parents. She couldn't help but wonder briefly what Elena, in her time, was thinking right now as she remembered all this. Deciding it was best not to think about it - talk about a major headache - Caprice refocused her attention on the teacher. Apparently the class was almost over. She wasn't surprised. All the conversation with Elena had definately made the time fly by.
"I did hear Stefan and Damon's parents came from Italy before they lived in Mystic Falls. I suppose we could be related in some way. I would have to look into my family tree. It was their efforts here that made me realise they were the best ones to help me."
God, she had never thought she could lie so much. Well, lie so much and feel guilty about it. Then again, she wasn't a liar. She may skirt around the truth like her father was infamous for but she never out right lied. Like her mother she had to pure a heart to lie. That, and she was usually so bad at it. Unfortunately it seemed like she would have to do a lot of lieing in this time period. Caprice supposed she was lucky that Elena hadn't realised Vittoria was a first or middle name and not a last name in Italy - and she supposed any language. Caprice was willing to lie about anything but her namesake. She was proud to be her parents' daughter, and loved them with all her heart. She knew she would never be able to find it in her to replace her last name with something else - even if it was just to lie to the people here in the past. If someone asked her last name Caprice knew she would have no choice but to tell the truth or avoid the question. Of course she had a feeling if one of the Salvatores asked they wouldn't just let her avoid the question.
"Okay, you know what? If you take off your vervain necklace I will tell you the truth. That way if you have a bad reaction I can just make you forget. If you do agree to this you cannot tell anyone else, and you have to realise I must not come into any of your decisions. It must be like I am not even here. Okay? I can't change anything that is going to happen."
Caprice couldn't believe she had just said that. She loved Elena though, and she just couldn't bare to upset her. It was a fair deal though. If Elena could trust Caprice enough to remove her vervain necklace knowing she was half vampire then Caprice knew she could pretty much trust Elena with the truth. Running a hand through her ebony curls she glanced up to notice the other students had left the classroom. Caprice quickly stood up, grabbing her shoulder bag before turning to Elena. She was fortunate she had brought a bag with her when travelling through time. Otherwise it would have looked wierd for her to be in school without a bag. Caprice quickly looked at her schedule. She couldn't make a decision of whether to do this now or wait until lunch or even until the end of the school day. Perhaps she should just tell Elena and the Salvatores together after school. God, she wasn't even supposed to tell anyone. If only there was a way to communicate with her parents for advice. Hell, if only her great Grams was still alive in this time. That would have been at least one person she could get advice from.
"If you agree to this deal we should figure out a time and place to do it."
A few moments later she sensed Damon nearby. Frowning, Caprice turned only to see a crow in a tree outside the classroom. Was he still on his obsession with Elena? Caprice was pretty sure he was in this time period. She was glad his gaze didn't seem to be on her. Still, it would be best if he didn't see her at all. An amused smirk rose on her lips briefly. She cleared her mind, and seconds later a gust of wind blew the crow right off its perch. She stifled a chuckle as the crow was forced to fly away. Perhaps she could have some fun in this time period. After all, it couldn't be all work right? Getting a twinkle in her ice blue eyes she looked at Elena with a mischevious expression upon her pretty face.
"So, we should do something fun! How about we camp out? I used to camp out a lot when I was younger. My father would take me and we'd pretty much just lay under the stars, me in his arms, as he retold countless tales of his past. It was my favourite thing to do back then. We should totally camp out though. We could get junk food, a fire going, and just have tons of fun. You won't need to worry. I can protect us from anything that goes bump in the night. Trust me."

With every moment, she spent with Caprice she was finding out more about this girl. Slowly she was starting to get to know her some better. For sure she could not completely trust her. Elena was really careful when it came to trust people. She don't wanted to get hurt. Also she still believed that Caprice was keeping some things from her, that were really important. She had seen exactly how nervous Caprice had become about the one or other question she had asked her and how she tried to avoid to answer some of them. If there was one thing Elena couldn't stand, then it were liars and if someone was keeping something from her. Elena herself was a truthful person, she always spoke what was on her mind, sure that had gotten into a lot of problems already, but still she rather had problems and was angry at someone for a short time, then finding out that she had been lied at. Once she found out someone had lied at her, that person had lost her trust and then the other person had a hard time in trying to get it back. There were a lot of things Elena could easily forgive for, but not being lied at and she hoped for Caprice, that she was telling her the truth.
"I've heard a lot about them." Caprice answered her first question. Elena nodded and thought about everything that had just happened and what she had just heard. Elena knew many people would have called Caprice crazy. A normal person, also would have tried to get as far away from this girl as she could, but not Elena. Even though it sounded crazy, she slowly started to get used to all that stuff. She accepted the fact, that there were vampires, witches, werewolves and who knew what else out there. Elena even had the feeling, that slowly nothing could shock or scare her anymore. But still, she couldn't help herself and wonder why it was always her, who got involved with all this stuff. It was not as if she had asked for it. Sure, she wanted to be with Stefan and it didn't mattered to her that he was a vampire. But she had not wanted to get into all that trouble, after all she had just gone through a really hard time in her life and it seemed like someone was not allowing her to be happy. Often she asked herself, why it had to be her, what had she done to get pulled into all that trouble all the time. For a moment she thought, she would have given up almost everything, just to have normal life. But then told herself a moment later, that this was stupid, she did not want a normal life, she simply wanted a less difficult life.
"I did hear Stefan and Damon's parents came from Italy before they lived in Mystic Falls. I suppose we could be related in some way. I would have to look into my family tree. It was their efforts here that made me realise they were the best ones to help me." Caprice told her a moment later. "Okay, so that would be crazy if you would be related to them." Elena said laughing lightly and added a moment later "But sounds logical, that once you heard about the things they were doing here, that they were the best help you could find." No one could know better then Elena, that if it came to real trouble that Stefan and Damon were then one hundred percent reliable. What surprised a lot of people, especially when it came to Damon. But Elena had learned to trust his word and for sure she trusted Stefan. She knew he would give up his life for her if he had to do it, to protect her. As Elena threw a quick glance at the clock on the wall of the classroom, she noticed surprised that the lesson was almost over. Seemed like talking to Caprice had done at least something good.
Elena turned her attention back to Caprice, when she said "Okay, you know what? If you take off your vervain necklace I will tell you the truth. That way if you have a bad reaction I can just make you forget. If you do agree to this you cannot tell anyone else, and you have to realise I must not come into any of your decisions. It must be like I am not even here. Okay? I can't change anything that is going to happen." Elena raised an eyebrow sceptically. Then she said "I don't know if that's such a good idea, I mean I can not be sure, that you do not influence me in any other way if I take my necklace of." putting her hand softly on her necklace. But on the other hand, Elena knew she had to make a decision. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, thinking everything she had just heard through. As she opened her eyes again, she turned to Caprice and asked her with a death serious expression on her face "Can I trust you, that you don't manipulate anything else then the things you said?" "Because I guess, I have to hear your story if I want or not, there is no other way to be sure you are on our side." she sighed silently. Before she added with a crooked smile on her face "Okay if we really do this, I'm sure Stefan is not gonna like the fact that I put myself into so much danger." "And I guess Damon is gonna freak out about it as well..." She knew the two of them just wanted the best for her, but still sometimes they were simply to overprotective. Elena had to make her own decisions and her own mistakes, if they liked it or not. After all it was not okay for her that they put their lives into danger for her and that they did not accept it when she tried to do the same for them. So maybe it was good, they didn't knew anything about Caprice yet.
"If you agree to this deal we should figure out a time and place to do it." Caprice told her while the two of them were now leaving the classroom, since the lesson was over. A moment later Caprice added "So, we should do something fun! How about we camp out? I used to camp out a lot when I was younger. My father would take me and we'd pretty much just lay under the stars, me in his arms, as he retold countless tales of his past. It was my favorite thing to do back then. We should totally camp out though. We could get junk food, a fire going, and just have tons of fun. You won't need to worry. I can protect us from anything that goes bump in the night. Trust me." Elena looked at Caprice thoughtfully before she said "I like the idea of camping, I did that a lot when I was small with my parents as well." "But I think we should for the moment, leave the Salvatores out of our little deal, because I know they are not going to allow it, I mean the fact that I'm trusting you so far to take my necklace off." Elena stopped and then asked again looking seriously at Caprice "Am I going to be safe with you?" Before she asked a moment later "And when and where do you want to do this?" waiting for Caprices answer. Elena knew she was probably acting stupid and she was sure Stefan and Damon would have never agreed to that deal, because they wanted to protect her. But not this time, Elena told herself. This time she would be the one that protected them after all the things, they had gone through and all the things they had done for her.

Caprice couldn't help but chuckle lightly under her breath when Elena said it would be crazy if she related to the Salvatores. God, Elena had no idea. Caprice definately felt better though that Elena didn't think she could be related to Damon or Stefan. At least that was still a secret which meant Elena hadn't even thought about her being from the future. Maybe she wasn't so bad at this. Elena, although curious, clearly hadn't gotten anywhere near to guessing what Caprice was really hiding. This fact made Caprice feel a lot more comfortable. She hadn't blown it yet. She supposed now all she had to do was keep her cool, get Elena to trust her enough to introduce her to the Salvatores, and then with their help find the time traveller so they could destroy him and she could go back home. Should be simple. Ha. As if. Caprice knew this was going to be far from simple. Especially if anyone got wind of her and realised she was different. So far though no one seemed to have noticed she was paranormally different. It was just her looks so far. That was definately a relief.
"The Salvatores are certainly resourceful."
Caprice murmurred contemplatively. She supposed she had inherited a part of that. After all she had got herself enrolled in this school with nothing but her magic and compulsion. Upon hearing Elena's doubts of her deal Caprice merely sighed and shrugged her shoulders. She supposed it was a stupid deal anyway. It would be best not to say she was Damon and Bonnie's daughter from the future. Since she couldn't gain Elena's trust so quickly, Caprice knew she had no choice but to use blackmail. She didn't want to scare her aunt but she had to see the Salvatores asap. Preferably by the end of the day. If that meant blackmailing Elena then she supposed that was what she was going to have to do. Even if Elena didn't end up introducing her to the Salvatores after being blackmailed, she knew she'd tell Stefan and/or Damon, and they would end up tracking her down to eliminate the threat. So either way she'd get to see them face to face. She just had to make sure they didn't kill her upon seeing her. That, and convincing them to help somehow. She'd cross that bridge when she came to it though.
"Okay, so you don't want to do the deal. Thats fair enough. However I do need to see those brothers. Now, I could just feed on the humans in this town, not kill them, and let my victims show off their bite marks. That would get their attention and bring them to me. However I decided to go for the peaceful route by getting you to introduce us. I am not afraid to go for my first choice though Lena. If I have to feed on this town to get to see them, then so be it. The sooner I see them the better it is for this town. I cannot put it any plainer then that."
Caprice could understand Elena's thought process. After all she had spent eighteen years with her family, hearing their stories and such, to know them in depth. She couldn't blame Elena for not trusting her. If she was in Elena's shoes she wouldn't trust herself either. However, the longer she spent dilly dallying the more time the time traveller got to screw up the entire time line. Unfortunately she didn't have time to waste, as much as she would like to just hang out with everyone she loved. It would have been fun to see what they were like before she was born. Still, she had a mission to do, and she really did want to be out of this time line before Elijah or Klaus came to town. Fortunately they had never known about her before their demise. She did not want that to change now. If they found out about her it could mean disaster. She knew how they sought after the most powerful supernaturals they could find in order to win their little 'war'.
"My mother doesn't want me or my father to drink from humans. Even though we never kill them and just compell them to forget. So most of the time we just feed on blood bags, or animals when we have no other option. When dad takes me camping though... Well, its like a little treat that we get to feed on a human together. I know its not a normal way for a father and daughter to bond, but its what we do, and it works for us. We never hurt or kill anyone. We send them on their way, forgetting it all, after a few sips. He's such a great dad. Way too overprotective, but in a way, I wouldn't have it any other way. I always know no matter how bad I screw up he will always be there for me. He'll do anything for those he loves. Even go to hell itself. Deep down, I think he likes to play hero. Especially when its for me or my mother. He likes to impress."
Caprice spoke softly, unable to stop smiling lovingly as she talked of her father. He was so cocky, and whether he liked to admit or not he has a huge heart too. He feels everything deeply, although he doesn't like to show it. From what she had been told her mother had been the only one to see past his dark facade to see the true soul underneath. Well, that is after she stopped hating him and trying to light up on fire when she wasn't giving him aneurisms. Caprice really wanted to see one of their infamous fights whilst here in the past. She had a feeling they were very amusing. It would definately make her day to see it. Of course she would have to make sure Bonnie wouldn't touch her if she did see it. Caprice had been warned Bonnie could get visions in this time by touch. It was definately a good thing to know. The last thing she needed Bonnie to see was one of their family moments. Then again she supposed it would be amusing and hilarious to see Bonnie's reaction to seeing such a moment. Hell, it would be amusing to see everyones reaction to who she really is.

Again Elena couldn't help and think about the deal, she had just agreed to. Sure she knew it was dangerous and stupid of her to act that way. But that simply was her. She hated it when others put themselves in danger for her. Also she hated the feeling, that came with people risking their lives for her. It always made her feel uncomfortable. She simply hated the fact, when she had to sit around, while others were in danger, she then always felt like she needed to do something herself. Normally she was not keeping any secrets from Stefan or Damon as well. But this time, it was important that she did not tell them, what she had just planed. In her head, she could already hear them both talking to her about how stupid and dangerous all of this had been and that she should have told them. That made Elena, feel unsure for a moment, but fast she tried to push that thought aside. She did not want to think about the fact, that they would worry about her, cause she knew what that normally did to her. Normally that was the thing, what got her to tell them the truth, but not this time, this time she would do it on her own, whether they liked it or not. She was torn out of her thoughts, when Caprice said "The Salvatores are certainly resourceful." Elena laughed and nodded, before she agreed "Yes they certainly are!"
I cannot put it any plainer then that." Caprice told her a moment later. When Caprice spoke about feeding on people around town, it touched something inside Elena. In the first moment, she felt panic rushing through her body, but then a second later it was gone and Elena felt stronger and braver then before. "Alright, we go talk to them." she sighed, showing Caprice that she was giving up. A moment later she added "But only because I don't want you to feed on the people of Mystic Falls, I don't want that anyone gets hurt, because of me, I did hurt enough people in the last time and enough innocent people had to suffer because of me." she told Caprice with a serious expression on her face. Still she did not feel, well when she thought about the idea of putting Stefan and Damon in danger. She cared for both of them and if one of them was getting hurt, she would never forgive herself for making such a huge mistake. Even though, she was sure the two would tell her it was alright and that she had done the right thing.
She was torn out of her thoughts, when Caprice said to her "My mother doesn't want me or my father to drink from humans. He likes to impress." But again Elena had listened carefully and now was surprised to hear, that there seemed to be other vampires out there who fed on animals, just like Stefan did. Sure she also knew the feeding on blood bags thing from Damon and she did not mind that. But something she really did not like was the fact that these girl seemed to feed on humans now and then. Sure it was not Caprices fault, that she had to drink blood. But still Elena didn't like the idea of people getting hurt and influenced just out of fun.
But a moment later, she couldn't help and ask herself, what she would do if she was a vampire. Would she be able to resist human blood, she asked herself. Sure if she would have the choice, she would prefer Stefan's diet, but still she wondered if she would be strong enough and if she would have the necessary self-control. Stefan always told her, that was nothing she had to worry about, since she would not be changed into a vampire. But it was not like Elena hadn't thought about it, after all if she wanted to be with Stefan for forever, she had to live forever. Right now, she was for sure not ready for being a vampire, but still she couldn't turn off the small voice inside of her, that told her, that at some point, she maybe had to become a vampire. But now Elena tried to shake that thought off. She had to stay focused on the main problem and that was right now, this strange unknown girl that wanted to meet Stefan and Damon and the fact that she did not know anything about this girl. Sure, she had already agreed to let her meet them, since this girl had threatened to feed on the people around town, but still she was unsure what to do.
"Well, if you want I can call Stefan when school is over to meet us and I can ask him to call Damon, so he can come here as well." Elena suggested as she walked with Caprice through the hallways of the school. If it would have been up to her, she would have called Stefan and Damon right away and would have skipped the her next lessons. A moment later she again started to think about the fact that Stefan and Damon might get hurt, once she took Caprice to them and again she couldn't help but thinking that she would never forgive herself if something happened to one of them. That was when she made a decision as she saw a small empty storing room. She made a sign for Caprice to follow her and walked into that small room. She closed the door behind them and then said "Alright, you want to show me you can be trusted?" In the next moment Elena took off her vervain necklace, putting it on a small box beside her. Then she said "Then tell me what's really going on here, like you promised before." "I will stick to our deal and listen to you and if I don't like it or freak out about what I hear you can influence me and do all of this your way." and added a moment later "You see I trust you with everything you said until now, but now you have to show me you are worth my trust and the Salvatores trust." looking at Caprice directly with a serious expression on her face. Waiting how Caprice was going to react. Still Elena did not feel fear or panic rushing through her body, she still felt strong and brave. Elena knew what she had just done was probably highly stupid and dangerous, but a part of her told her that Caprice was not going to hurt her.

She was definately relieved when Elena agreed to call Stefan and Damon. By the end of the day she may actually be talking to them. Stage one, semi complete. Now she just had to focus on what the hell she was going to tell them to convince them to help. She supposed she could tell them she was from the future but not who she was. Would they even buy that though? Probably not. Perhaps she could get Elena to convince them to help if they did not offer it straight away. Caprice knew Stefan was the best one to convince first since he would be the easiest. Damon usually tagged along after that even though he would protest at first. Yes, she would have to focus on Stefan. He would be the key one to get to offer his help. The rest would fall in behind him. Of course Damon was a good strategy expert. He was the master of illusion. He'd make his enemies look one way whilst he was going the other to get what he wanted. Caprice always admired that about her father.
Caprice followed Elena into the empty storage room out of curiousity. She had known Elena would give in when she mentioned feeding on innocents. Elena had a good heart, and would do anything to prevent others getting hurt. She hated using her own knowledge of those she cared about against them but she had to see Damon and Stefan. They would help her find the time traveller quicker, and she could destroy the threat a lot faster. She was concerned the longer she stayed here the more she may change everyones past. The less people she spoke to and the less time she spent here the better as far as Caprice knew. She watched Elena as the door shut and had to admit, she was shocked when Elena took off the vervain necklace. She had not been expecting that. Did Elena trust her that much? Damn it Elena. She thought. Now she would have to tell her. She couldn't not after such a brave act. Brave but stupid. Elena was lucky, in Caprice's opinion, that she was actually a friend she had just taken her necklace off for. Anyone else... would have been extremely dangerous. Her parents would not be happy to find this out when she got home.
"Okay, I'll tell you then. You said I look familiar? There is a reason why. I'm from the future. My parents sent me back here. My mother saw a vision of someone from our time using a second rate witch to be sent back through time. He is here, in your time, my past, and aims to change the past as I and my family know it. I wasn't born in this time. I don't know it as well as Damon and Stefan do. You know when you laughed when you said it would be crazy for me to be related to them? Well, its not so crazy. I'm Damon and Bonnie's daughter. Stefan is my uncle. In telling you this I am risking a lot. Even your future decisions that have yet not been made. My full name is Caprice Vittoria Salvatore. My parents sent me here because I would have no 'double' running around. Honestly, I think they screwed up in sending me, but you can't tell them anything. They are always right, blah blah blah. The amount of lectures I've heard over the years... and dad is the worst. So overprotective. I like being his little princess, I do, but I can't get any action with him watching me like a crow all the time. You know, he scares off any male I come in contact with?"
Okay, so perhaps this wasn't the time for family talk, but she couldn't help it. Here, she could say whatever she liked, and it probably wouldn't remembered when she got back, or if it did, well, it would be a while before she got back anyway. At home she couldn't say half this stuff because, well lets face it, she wouldn't have gotten away with it. Punishment was definately no fun with a superwitch for a mother, as well as a century and a half year old vampire for a father. As much as a softie as Stefan was, he rarely snuck her out of her punishment either. After all, who would want Damon and Bonnie on their tails? Caprice sighed softly as she gently picked up Elena's necklace. It was so beautiful. Definately one of the more beautiful heirlooms the Salvatores had. Another was Damon and Stefan's mother's wedding ring. Damon had saved it and given it to Bonnie on their wedding day. The home movies of it were so moving. Caprice had often found herself crying as she watched it. She couldn't help it. She could get really sappy sometimes. She wasn't all hard exterior.
She turned the necklace to the box gently before glancing up at Elena. She had no idea what Elena's reaction would be. A part of her thought maybe Elena wouldn't buy it. After all, it sounded crazy even to Caprice's ears. If she wasn't living it she wouldn't have thought it was possible. She was living it though, and she really had to get Elena to believe her. That, and not tell anyone.
"The thing is, I cannot interfere in events that I know will happen. A lot of... well, bad things will happen, but it is meant to be, and for the most part everyone will be... okay. However, I have to get this time traveller before he changes everything that has happened. Lives are at stake. Pardon the pun. If anyone can help me its my dad and my uncle. I really do not know how to prove to you this is all true, but I swear it is. The less people seeing me here the better, and its even better if you are the only one who knows what and who I am. You cannot tell anyone. Regardless if you believe me or not. Sure, I know Stefan and Damon will suspect, but as long as you don't tell them and they stay away from Bonnie... Well, they shouldn't find out. Well, as long as I don't slip up. Again. I really do not know why they sent me. It should have been dad, you know? He would have had it done by now."

Elena really wanted to trust Caprice, she even did believe she belonged to the good people. But still she could never be sure, after all this girl had just threatened to feed on the people in town. Elena knew it would probably have been better to have Stefan and Damon with her. But after all, she was doing this so that the two of them did not get into danger. Sure once, the two would find out, she had put herself into so much risk, they were going to lecture her to never do something like that again. But on the other hand, she was pretty sure, that Stefan would calm down fast again and that then he would think this all through logically. What Elena was more afraid of was Damon's reaction, he could be after all quite hot head and impulsive. But the one thing she was sure of, was that the two would not like the fact, that Caprice had threatened to feed on the people in town. Elena was pretty sure, that Stefan would be angry about that, but that he would not do something rash, he would probably try to find out more about Caprice. While Damon would probably looking for a stake already. But if she turned it that way, she was just doing Stefan's work, so it was alright, she told herself once again.
Relieved she noticed that Caprice followed her into the storage room. But as soon as they were inside, the whole situation became more strained. Now Elena could clearly see that Caprice felt uncomfortable. Once Elena had said, what she wanted to hear from her, she seemed to feel even worse. But that did not matter to Elena. She wanted to hear the truth and she wanted to hear it now. No matter how crazy it was. That was the moment when Caprice said to her "Okay, I'll tell you then. I like being his little princess, I do, but I can't get any action with him watching me like a crow all the time. You know, he scares off any male I come in contact with?"
When Caprice had finished her story, Elena was sure that the shock and surprise was written on her face. She sighed silently, running one hand through her hair. It was something she did to calm herself and also she was still trying to process all the information. Then finally she said "Wow, this is insane!" and shook her head lightly. Before she added "I mean, I heard a lot of things already and I had to deal with a lot of things already in the last time, but this outshines everything else." "I do believe you, because I already have seen so many crazy stuff, that I think this all you are talking about is possible, but still this is insane..." with a small crooked smile on her face. A moment later she raised an eyebrow quizzically and looked at Caprice directly, before she asked "Bonnie and Damon really?!" "I would never have imagined that, even though now that you mentioned it, I see the similarity between you three!" It was true, that Elena would have never thought, after all the two of them did hate each other and it was hard to imagine right now that this was ever going to change. But then a moment later she remembered the saying, hate breeds passion and in that case it seemed to be true. "Okay and what kind of threat is that thing that is running around here in our time?" Elena asked a moment later not sure if she really wanted to hear the answer. After all, there was already enough trouble going on in Mystic Falls. "I can imagine that Damon is the kind of overprotective father, who does not want any guy to touch his daughter..." she laughed about Caprices last statement, cause who knew until now better then her how overprotective Damon could be.
A moment later something, that was probably right now not really important to everyone else but her, if she thought of the danger that was going on around town, came to her mind. So she asked Caprice a moment later "So you spoke about your parents and about Stefan, you even mentioned my future decisions, but what I would love to know is, am I still going to be with Stefan in the future, maybe even getting married to him?" before she started to laugh about herself. Then she said "Oh my God, sorry I guess I'm sounding pretty crazy right now, I mean there is a huge threat from the future running around town and all I ask is if I'm going to be with Stefan, this must sound pretty selfish to you..." shaking her head about herself. She knew that Caprice was probably not allowed to tell her to much about the future. But still Elena had felt the need to ask her about it. After all Caprice had mentioned her, so if she asked and Caprice did not answer, there would be no damage done.
"The thing is, I cannot interfere in events that I know will happen. A lot of... well, bad things will happen, but it is meant to be, and for the most part everyone will be... okay. However, I have to get this time traveler before he changes everything that has happened. Lives are at stake. Pardon the pun. If anyone can help me its my dad and my uncle. Caprice told her a moment later. Elena nodded and said once again "I said it before and I'm going to say it again, I believe you!" "You told me all of this and that just shows that you mean it serious." a moment later she added "I'm gonna take you to Stefan and Damon and I promise I will keep your secret, but you have to promise me you get that time traveler in for that." with a small smile on her face. "If you want we can skip next class and maybe see the two of them immediately." "After all, it all sounds really important and I think we have to act fast, if everything you told me is true." she said. Then added "So what do yo think about that idea?" and looked at Caprice seriously, waiting for an answer from her.

"Yeah... They suit each other perfectly though... Once Damon stops chasing everything else in a skirt, and Bonnie stops blaming Damon for everything bad that has happened here. When they fight... you can see the sparks there. They try to hide it of course, layering it with hate, but even now they are drawn to each other. They can't help it. Why else do you think Damon hasn't seriously tried to persue her yet or use her like he did with Caroline? Because he knows they could have something huge, and he's scared of that. He's still hurting from being betrayed by Katherine, so he's putting all his time in chasing others. As much as Bonnie will deny it, she hates that. She wonders why she's not worth his time, although she continually tells herself it is not because she wants him. You should ask her what she thinks about him sometime. I bet you she'll end up flustered, can't answer for a few long seconds, and then tries to cover that up with saying something like he's an egotistical selfish psychopathic vampire."
Caprice responded with an amused look on her face. Her family had talked about this before in her time. It had ended up with Stefan saying they had just needed to bed each other, which had ended up with Bonnie blushing profusely, whilst Damon was chuckling at her reaction. They definately made a rather epic couple. Of course Caprice could do without so much PDA. She was their kid for christ's sake. Just because she was a teenager didn't mean she wanted to see her parents groping each other. Or her uncles and aunts for that matter. Seriously, it was like they were all in heat all the time or something. Sometimes she was just tempted to hose them all down. As it was she usually just went out when everyone got too frisky. Usually she ended up in a club whilst she let some unknown man feel her up. She never let them touch beneath her clothing or went past making out, but usually it was enough to make her feel better. After all, it wasn't easy to live in a house filled with loved up couples. Especially when she was single, and any guy she so much as looked in anything other then a friendly way was chased off by her overprotective father.
"Its a very dire threat. Time is a very precious thing. Any small thing that is changed could change everything. Even my own exsistance. Even the lives of those we both care about. I have to find him or her before they do any damage. Honestly, I don't know why damage hasn't been done already, but maybe they are waiting for the next eventful crisis to put their plan into action. I don't know. All I know is I have to find someone who is not meant to be here. Shouldn't be too hard right?"
Caprice responded, chuckling a little because honestly she wasn't sure how else she could react. She was so nervous, and she felt so alone in this time. At least back in her own time she had her family there. She always knew no matter what happened or how she screwed up they would always be there to fix everything. Here, she was the one that was supposed to fix everything, and her family couldn't even come here to help. All she could do was rely on their past selves when they didn't even know her. Who knows if Damon or Stefan would save her if she got into any trouble... She wasn't sure they would. Maybe Stefan because he was filled with morals right now, but Damon... He didn't even know her. What would be the reason for him to come and save her in this time?
"Its not selfish Elena, and honestly, think of it this way. Would I be here trying to preserve the timeline if anything bad had happened to any of you? I'd be here, or my parents would be here, trying to change it all. Not trying to stop the idiot who is going to try to change it all. You have to fight for those you care about though. Regardless of what I have said or will say, you must fight. You cannot be complacent. Sometimes, unwise things must be done to protect those you care about. Even a century and a half year old vampires, and one reckless yet passionate witch."
Of course she didn't mention the werewolf that was Tyler, or Caroline becoming a vampire, or Alaric the vampire hunter. It wasn't time for Elena to know about any of those things yet. She couldn't help but laugh when Elena mentioned to promise her she'd get that time traveller. Who knew Elena could be so in favour of vicious behavour? Then again, she supposed when those she cared about were at risk she'd pretty much do anything that was within her power. When Elena mentioned skipping class to see the Salvatores now, Caprice's face lit up of its own accord. That definately sounded like a good plan to her. The sooner she saw them the better. Besides, she really was curious if they could figure out her secret without her saying anything. That, and she really did want to see their honest reaction to her. Would they like her? Or did them being related to her make them like her in her time? So many questions and only one way to get them answered. She really wished she didn't have to go to the boarding house but it seemed that was inevitable. After all, where else was Damon's stash of scotch and blood bags? Yes, it seemed a trip to the Salvatore Boarding House was on the cards today.
"Sounds like a plan. School never really interested me anyway."
She teased playfully, a happy smile upon her full lips. She looped her arm through Elena's, tossed her the vervain necklace back, and then strode out of the storage room. Perhaps it wouldn't be so bad to have one person knowing who she was and her mission. Surely it couldn't do anything bad to the timeline? Besides, she was sure if it had then her parents would have worked out a way to contact her through time by now. Her mother was a powerful witch and her father was very resourceful. If anyone could communicate through time it was those two.
